    Study the last 10000 years of human history, a ‘safer world’ has
    never existed.

  5. Iran has had the bomb for years. That’s why nobody tried violent regime chance on them, no matter how much the Saudis whined and begged.
    Iran was brought in from the cold to prop up the moribund European and blue-state American welfare states with cheap oil, help kill the ethical oil industry in North America and Russia, and (most importantly for an “urban” Jew-hater like Obama) spit in the face of the Jews.
    Nobody’s safer this afternoon, except the mullahs, who no longer have to worry about food riots, and Hizbollah, who’ll have first dibs on the oil money. The guns and rockets needed to murder Jews don’t pay for themselves.

  8. @Hans: “that is just political marketing.” It’s more, much more, than that considering the source of the comment. For Kerry, it’s personal. It’s his legacy. It’s how he’ll go down in history!! It’s a stupendous accomplishment. I mean what else can he say? Certainly not “In retrospect, (pause) I really pulled a boner making this deal. (pause) I wish to god it had failed.”

    WASHINGTON — The U.S. Treasury Department unleashed sanctions against 11 people and companies involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program Sunday, just one day after President Obama lifted sanctions based on Iran’s nuclear program.
    Obama is expected to give a statement on the new sanctions — and on Saturday’s exchange of prisoners between the two countries — from the White House Sunday morning.
    The Office of Foreign Assets Control is blocking the assets of Mabrooka Trading, a company based in the United Arab Emirates, for its role in procuring components for Iran’s ballistic missiles. Also sanctioned are other companies and individuals involved in the program, which tested two ballistic missiles last year.

  21. I talk to a lady at my gym who is from Persia (Iran) and she describes life there as really terrifying. Her father has been in prison and friends and families have been hassled by the religious police. People are always watching you. She loves Canada and our freedoms. Her older relatives wanted the Ayatollah and the Shah gone but totallly regret that now that hard line islam is in charge. Be careful what you wish for.
    Love to hear from some resident progressives if they still support bringing 50,000 muslims here as we see islamic violence and death creeping closer each day. How would our Liberal ladies feel about 5-7 muslim lads piling on you and ripping your clothes off while they rape you? Its happening across Europe so this is not impossible to happen here. Don’t count on our police to protect you, they didn’t during the G20 and other events, so you will be on your own.

  26. Agreed … however … I would argue that the Caucasian First World (had) created THE most stable, prosperous, and generous world EVER since the last half of the 20th century. Any moderately motivated and educated citizen could live a life that is safe, and devoid of need. Sadly, this prosperity has created a docile population with NO historical knowledge or perspective. These fat, happy, and content Leftists are now importing their own destruction. Well … it was nice while it lasted.
    The First World is now behaving like spoiled children (and grandchildren) who inherited a bountiful estate from their forefathers … and are now squandering it all on their self-indulgences. I weep for my own children. I hope they can STOP the insanity.
