Liberals stonewall on refugees

Remember all those claims of openness and transparency from Justin Trudeau and the Liberals during the election campaign? Fuggedaboutit…
Under the Liberals the immigration department is now taking delays of nearly a year on access to information requests about Syrian refugees.

“Also, it is to be noted that, at this point of the process, the department is working to meet the mandate on Syrian Refugees set by the Prime Minister of Canada,” wrote Hélène Bertrand, senior ATIP administrator at Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

  1. …the department is working to meet the mandate on Syrian Refugees set by the Prime Minister of Canada…
Not by the Government of Canada, mind you. By the Prime Minister.
    Parliament? Who needs it?

  2. What else is new, Liberals lying to get elected is their modus operandi. In the real world it’s called getting elected under false pretenses. This should have repercussions but not when we elect a majority, they become untouchables and we get screwed. Oh, the opposition can yelp and squawk but in the end it’s whistling in the wind, they have as much power as farts in a gale.
Enjoy our Trudeau the Pretender PM, I’m sure he looks super and fit with his tanned hide from his flit to Nevis for a family break.
Who are the real jackasses here?

  4. Rules of behaviour are being pushed for women in Europe, their government is working with facebook and Google to control what people are allowed to say, police chiefs are being fired for not protecting politicians.
What’s not to like? Our politicians are thrilled with these policies and look forward to a catalyst in Canada so they can implement them here. Screening out rapists and murderers would only cause delays.

  5. This one is right out of the Obozo playbook. The Dauphin’s head is like a giant pumpkin that rules his subjects like an all knowing benevolent dictator.

  6. Mr Gerald Butts esq. is the one with his hand up Trudeau’s backside, plus his commie brother Sasha. Un-elected. Mr Trudeau just reads his lines. He isn’t capable of anything else. The rest of the LPOC hordes are just falling over themselves filling their boots before we all get tired of them.

  7. Why do we never hear of Sasha? Is he some kind of silent, invisible adviser on matters we really don’t need to know about?

  8. Don’t hold your breath, mot. She’s been distancing the Party from the Boogie-Man, Harper, because we were too far right-wing on refugees, immigration, niqab, Native women etc. and that’s why we lost the election.

  9. I am not sure Rona Ambrose is good for the long-term future of the Conservative Party. While she is competent, she has no likability factor, for me at least. The problem with the election is that Harper couldn’t or wouldn’t control the agenda.

  10. HINT: ALL of the “refugees” will be re-settled in the most conservative-voting towns and districts throughout Canada … just like O’blahma is doing in America. A couple rounds of generational breeding (about 12 years apart) … and voila ! A new leftist stronghold is born !

  11. I seem to recall that when the libs were in power the last time, it was discovered that the entire refugee approval screening process was done by the United Nations, the federal immigration people essentially then rubber stamped the claimants.
Wanna bet that’s why they’re weaseling on any Access to Information requests..
