Even the IPCC – very reluctantly, mind you – admitted that an increase in CO2 levels and global temperatures would lead to increased agricultural output. (Especially in third world countries. Why do leftists hate poor minorities!?)

I believe that a lot of Americans dearly wish that Washington DC would flood and be completely abandoned as per Obama’s dream. It would solve a whole heap of issues.
When CO2 levels were 100 times higher the planet was lush tropical. It wasn’t desert. You would think that 14 of the 15 warmest years would produce more than a scattering of record high temperatures and you would think that one could actually notice seas rising but we can’t. Extreme weather such as hurricanes are at an all time low and the polar ice caps are healthy. Obama is lying again – making stuff up. The sky is falling.
From what planet is all this extra sea water going to come from? Forgive me for not understanding this. I thought i had learned in elimentary school that when ice melts it takes up LESS space!! Or versa visa.
I don’t believe the geological record indicates any era with life where C02 levels were 40,000 ppm – but the era that gave rise to mammals (and was tropical, as you said) has been approximated at 8,000-11,000 ppm.
There were also periods of world-wide glaciation that had 2,000-4,000 ppm.
Currently, C02 levels (even with the data almost certainly being manipulated) are estimated below 400 ppm, something that has only happened TWICE in the last 600 million years. Plant life is (historically) struggling because of the low levels of CO2, but politicians need a non-issue to blow out of proportion, and since they’ve destroyed the education system, there’s plenty of scientifically illiterate yokels to sucker.
The assumption is that most of this ice is sitting on land, and the water will run into the oceans.
The assumption, of course, is incorrect – much of that ice is already displacing water, meaning that its melting would have no net effect on global sea levels.
There would be some effect, of course, but the reality is almost always blown far out of proportion.
Of course, there IS a whole lot of ice on land – the antarctic ice cap is around 15 km thick.However, with a daily mean temp of about -55 C. it isn’t likely going to melt for a long while. Eons.

The first thing you must consider is where is the water going. The “ON” the Continental crust (lakes) or into the Oceans, each have equal & opposite affects. The Continental Crust & Ocean bottom have an independent relationships to the mantel. (Thermodynamics)
