  1. He said that as his own personal ‘theory.’
Interesting that you would find a problem with that.

  2. There’s someone who agrees with you Lance. Check out his reasons why…

And I know Carson’s completely wrong and I’m pulling for Trump and Cruz but digging up something like this from 1998 when this sort of standard is only practiced by the MSM on conservative Republicans (and similar here) ticks me off alot more than any wrong, weird beliefs the guy has especially when the guy is a skilled surgeon and not a stroke-victim screwup like Biden. (And not that you’re supporting the MSM in this, Lance.)

  3. But can he explain why they find mummies and no grain in all pyramids ? I like the man but his reasoning powers leave something to be desired. A lifetime of mass labor to build grain storage that was often many miles from the nearest grain or the Nile River with elaborate hidden chambers should also send up a few flags. Other than this minor flaw in his deductive powers I still believe his intelligence is light years ahead of Obama.

  4. “[Mr. Carson’s] popularity among evangelical Christian voters has helped fuel his rise in the Republican primary.”
    — Fox News, Nov. 15, 2015
I was quite disappointed that Dr. Carson has not been forthcoming about his being a Seventh-Day Adventist.
I suggest that he has not been wanting to lose the support of evangelical Christians since many of them consider Seventh-Day Adventism to be a cult.

  5. Give the guy a break.
To borrow a suggestion from the Bible, “let him who (has never believed anything goofy) cast the first stone”.
Of course, that criteria would automatically disqualify 100% of (at the risk of being redundant)Democrats, Progressives, and the MSM.

  6. Personally I would rather have Carson and his goofy ‘pyramids’ theory than any number of liberals and their innumerable goofy theories.

  7. the sarcophagus in the Kings chamber would say nay nay
This is the equivalent of the lake of fire stuff that took out the wild rose two elections back

  8. Exactly. After all, Mackenzie King talked to his mother, and Pierre Elliot Trudeau believed in Karl Marx.
Robert and Joe, agreed. We all have a few weird ideas, but leave it to his detractors to drag this up to drag Carson down.

  9. I’m sure I’m not the only pyramid buff here. No one knows for sure why the pyramids were built and there is a lot of conjecture about who built them and when. His theory is no better than the other hundred and not nearly as bizarre. He didn’t say they were built by aliens or that they are some sort of weird power plant, portal to another universe or any number of nutbar theories.
Aside from this, this story has no value at all and contributes nothing to the debate. It is a distraction. Most people see it as such and will discount it.

  10. If I were Joseph I wouldn’t want anyone thinking I had spent that much time and money to build something that big with so little space inside, to store grain.

  11. I see that Lance has taken the MSM bait. They seek to cut down the GOP frontrunner whoever it may be. Carson’s musing here on the Pyramids is harmless speculation to better explain those impressive structures, beyond the accepted theory that some pharaohs wanted some really big headstones on their graves. Next up, they’ll go after his childhood memories and try to discredit him that way…oh, wait!
Perhaps Lance would like to share what all he believes in and his pet theories so that we can judge the political incorrectness of any of his thoughts. For me, I believe that some yellow ball in the sky causes the Earth to stay warm more than running my car on the weekend and that the polar ice caps won’t be melting this century. The MSM would mock me for that were I ever to seek office.

  12. He’s done.
The pyramids were tombs. Not grain storage.
The Egyptians were very accomplished architects and builders. The Pyramids have very little storage space for their size and investment in materials. They are a terrible design for bulk storage of perishable food stuffs. The Egyptians would have stored grain in large sealed jars in a storehouse.
The Pyramids are tombs, designed to protects the body and possessions of important people who believed very seriously in a corporeal afterlife of sorts. In ancient times, nothing quite protected tomb treasure quite like innumerable tons of carefully cut and laid stone. Basically, the Pyramids are designed and built to be corpse bunkers.
First rule of politics: Don’t say dumb shit that makes you look like a moron. Second rule of politics: Don’t double down on dumb shit.

  14. These are the kind of politically suicidal trinkets the media will put on their shelves and wait for the most opportune time to bring out to besmirch the prospective politician. Remember Stockwell Day, Bill Vanderzalm…….

  15. Well, he’s wrong. But he’s wrong in a way that does not matter in the slightest to the job he’s stumping for. The people currently holding the nuclear football believe in global warming and Keynesian economics, two utter falsehoods that have done a great deal more damage to the West.

  16. You are absolutely correct; however, I fear it will take another 4000 years for democrats to realise the earth hasn’t burned to a crisp and keynes was a flake.

  17. It’s a pity he didn’t tell the truth about pyramids: useless projects dreamed up by a parasitical elite that impoverished the population and contributed to the eventual demise of the civilization – much like our “Climate Change” is doing.

  18. Of course the MSM will look for anything and use anything to discredit conservatives. Unfortunately, the answer is not to minimize or try to explain away the embarrassing information. Would Dr Carson’s unsustainable theory impede his ability to be President? Probably not. Does it impede his ability to be elected President? Yes, almost certainly it does, and Lance is not to be faulted for simply recognizing the impact of the story on Dr Carson’s campaign. Conservatives ignore political reality at their peril.

  19. Well, the grain idea isn’t as ridiculous as it might sound. It’s a theory that stems from the Biblical description of text in the Old Testament, and has been around since at least the sixth century, when Saint Gregory of Tours wrote:
“They are wide at the base and narrow at the top in order that the wheat might be cast into them through a tiny opening, and these granaries are to be seen to the present day.”
So maybe Ben is better read in biblical history than the secular Pravda who only operate on critical theory.

  20. He said that as his own personal ‘theory.’
Interesting that you would find a problem with that.

and Hitler also has sum personal theories also!!!
Mister stupid ride again, shades of Blockwell Gay Day!!!
when will bible bangers learn to keep their “stupid” quiet???

  21. Carson will be in very low double digits at best by Xmas. His ideas about the pyramids are just one of many things that will bring him down. And it is not surprising that these things are only coming out now- he’s only been a factor of any significance for a little over a month.
Politics at the potus level is best left to professionals with resumes that are far better than Carson’s.
Having stated that, the Oped by jabbar in time magazine is absolutely disgusting and he should be condemned by everyone.

  22. Oh, come on. Everyone knows that the pyramids were built as just one node in a massive globe-spanning pentagram meant to summon The Beast. Other nodes include Stonehenge, China’s Great Wall, the northern terminus of Keystone XL, and 787 Dundas Street West.

  23. Better Trump and Carson make their gaffes now cuz Ted Cruz is much more impressive. Too bad he looks like Ricky Ricardo.

  24. So what?
Could be couldn’t say for sure.
But this has what to do with being figurehead of the fifty seven states?
    Will Guam roll over?
    Remember Herman Cain?
The lies and twisted reinvention of past events were too much for his family.
This is just the start of the Hatred Storm visited upon everyone except the chosen ones.

  25. Odd why the MSN says nothing about this.
Did U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton communicate with the dead spirit of former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt just this week?
If you believe her husband, Bill Clinton, the answer would be yes.
On Wednesday, Mr. Clinton appeared in New York City at a dedication ceremony for the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park.
In his remarks, the former president said his wife “was known to commune” with Eleanor Roosevelt, who died in November 1962, and that Roosevelt gave Hillary a message for him this week.

  26. Joseph told Pharaoh he had seven years to store corn, grain, probably other foods,
in order to feed all the people, even those in other lands.
    30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;
33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the (seven plenteous years.)
    (Genesis 41:30–34)
My Opinion- It would have taken many more years to build the Pyramids.
Unless the Pyramids were already there?
But- It would have taken large structures to store all that grain,
To my knowledge, no one has ever found those large structures that contained the grain?
    Anyway..
Obama believes in an Islamic pervert named Mohammad,(married a 6 year old girl) and he should never be made fun of?
Ben Carson has his opinion where the grain was stored, and I don’t know?,
    You tell me?
Would they have cleaned out the tomb?
    Sure.
Would they have put writings on the wall? They would have if it had contained bodies of the Pharaohs, No writing has ever been found.
The Egyptians wrote on everything of importance.
    You tell me ?

  27. He’s done.
The pyramids were tombs. Not grain storage.

    BS on that..
Another factor is, that there really are no pictures or hieroglyphics (writings) that show or talk about the Egyptians building the Great Pyramids. For example, The Great Pyramid has no pharaoh’s body or secret treasures inside and is still a controversy between historians and scientists as to what purpose the Great Pyramid served. The only way that historians can really date the Great Pyramid’s is by the objects inside it. Which really serves to be inaccurate since the Egyptians could have put the objects inside the Pyramid when ever they wanted and just because they put tools and other object inside it doesn’t mean that they built it. So, maybe just as we only know about ten percent of the living organisms in the ocean maybe we don’t know as much about history as we claim we know.

  28. The scientific world has a million theories and most of them are wrong. They serve as points of discussion and no-one denigrates the theorizers as idiots. That is unless they are a conservative republican.

  29. I wish Ted Cruz looked like Ricky Ricardo. He would have a lot better chance. I don’t have anything against his politics or his actions, but he just looks creepy to me.

  30. Ben Carson admits fabricating West Point scholarship.
Carson’s campaign on Friday conceded that a central point in his inspirational personal story did not occur as he previously described. Drudge..

    Oh shit.
    They will destroy him now.
    Trump/Cruz 2016

Well said, but I do believe it’s been proven that the Nile flowed past the great pyramids thousands of years ago and has shifted it’s course miles to the east over time.
Regardless they were not grain bins or tombs, they were ritual sites, symbols of Empirical power, along with other uses yet unknown to modern “archeology”.
Aliens didn’t build them, but neither did the Ancient Egyptians other than provide the manpower to do so. There is plenty of evidence of continuity between many ancient cultures GLOBALLY that shared the “megalithic structure culture” over thousands of years.

  32. Wow, you mean this guy holds eccentric views on matters of no practical interest or importance that are entirely outside his field of activity? Nothing like that has ever happened before. This is NEWS!
