  16. 25,000 is less than 1% of the young Islamic males, most of whom are not Syrian (although they will say they are), migrating in the eastern Mediterranean so taking them in is a token gesture, meaningless in the grand scheme of things. The only question is what effect will the 25,000 have in Canada?

  17. Oz, the reason that they are all male as I have been informed by one of Lizzie May’s supporters, is that they have left the country first to make a path for their wives and kids. I told her yes that’s the kind of people we want to bring into Canada. Leave behind the family that you are responsible for in a war zone where rape and murder are the norm, where children are indoctrinated as suicide bombers or child(?) soldiers, yes these are the people that are coming and we should expect these people to assimilate. Just like the Khadr family assimilated. Between the reign of Trudeau, the Elder, and Trudeau, the Younger, we will see the demise of the Canada that was one of the saviours of the Western World. We had the opportunity to reverse this demise in the inter-regnum period but Lizzie May exposed a truth that no-one wanted to admit, “That Canadians are stupid!” The Harper government was Canada’s last chance at re-establishing a democracy here. We can expect another Trudeau government to finish what the Elder one had only started. With the refugee crisis solved we can look forward to a UN climate change change treaty that will penalize Canadian taxpayers into penury, a UN International Arms treaty that will confiscate all fire-arms in Canada as they have done in Britain and Australia and are planning to in America (Obama will use Canada as a test case). Once that is accomplished a Canadian is no longer a citizen but a serf or slave, which is what the Trudeau dynasty think we are only good for.

  23. Exactly right,the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario are where they should be housed, and settled. I doubt Quebec will have any of them, it might interfere with their ethnic policies, they sure better not try wearing Islamic garb. There’ probably won’t be much problem though, most of the immigrants appear to be well dressed young men, interspersed with a few women and children for effect. We need to be vigilant as citizens, don’t count on a government run by Liberals with an immature front man in the drivers seat, co-piloted by Gerald Butts and Kathleen Wynne.

  26. Quebec is already overrun with them, thanks to their Quebec First control of immigration, negotiated with the Feds and brought in by the Quebec government. So, lots of French speaking North Africans already hanging about in the areas that used to be Catholic Irish in Montreal. I doubt that there are many in Pur Laine Quebec City. I know, because I re-visited my haunts in Montreal some 15 years ago, long before the current situation, and walking down St Catherine’s Street, past Atwater & as far east as Guy St, was muzzy haven. No more Irish pubs & the street language was not French, or English, but Arabic.
    Nah, Tranna is where most of them will go, which is fitting, with a small allotment by our commie queen in Alberta for Edmonton & NE Calgary. The Sihks, Hindus & Tamils are gonna love these guys as neighbors.

  28. What limits has PM Trulander imposed on this program? If 25,000 are necessary to “help Canada succeed as a country”, why not 250,000? Why not 2.5 million? Is there any amount of money that would be too much to spend? Why is nobody asking him these questions?
    There’s no clear purpose to this, no concrete result for Canadians that already live here, it’s just something nice for people that aren’t citizens (yet). A governments first duty is to protect its citizens, how is this helping Canadians?
    The worst part is, how can anyone fight this? You’re against helping poor refugees? YOU’RE A RACIST! You don’t want them in your neighborhood? RACIST! You resent spending millions of dollars to house, feed and provide medical treatment? RACIST! You oppose families reuniting here in Canada, quadrupling their numbers? RACIST! There aren’t any politicians with the backbone to speak out against this. Mainstream media will vilify anyone that speaks up. Employers will fire anyone that becomes a polarising figure, so unless you’re self employed, who will speak out?

  29. My observations on the Canadian election did not seem to attract much notice on a American right wing website. This to counter the contempt for “Canadians falling for”- the gentleman with nice hair.
    Popular vote.
    Liberal 39.5%
    Conservative 31.9%
    NDP 19.7%
    Others about 6%
    The key vote appears to be about 8% Of the vote. They had given the Conservatives a majority previously.
    A lot of Canadians did not vote Liberal and for Trudeau.

  31. It is impossible for R.C.M.P. Security and C.I.S.I.S. to do a thorough vetting of 25,000 Syrian refugees and have them here for Christmas.
    Many of those arriving in Europe are not from Syria but have newly purchased Syrian passports.
    Both Al-Qaida and the Islamic State have promised to infiltrate jihadis into the West and now under heavy Russian bombardment, more are looking for a place to hide.
    When some Islamist jihadis surface during an attack or attempted attack, who will take the fall, the responsibility?
    Trudeau won’t, nor will the MSM blame him. Trudeau will need a scapegoat.
    The blame will fall on the R.C.M.P. and C.I.S.I.S.
    This Trudeau will be as popular with the R.C.M.P. as the last Trudeau.

My son had a good question when he saw all the so-called refugees were 20 – 30 year old males…he said what did the men do when their countries were attacked in WW1 and WW2?   47. Looking at the electoral map, the Liberals already have the east but don’t yet have the west … and the two Calgary ridings; one is full of art jerks and the other full of immmigrants (not that Liberals court the immigrant vote; CTV says that’s only what Harper does, of course).
