The Scots seem to dislike the English. I’m sure they’ll just love the Syrians. If you take refugees out of Syria, take real refugees, Christians or Yazidis, not people just looking to improve their living standard with European welfare.
I agree. These two groups will not try to turn Glasgow or other places into the a facsimile of Muslim h*llhole they cam from.
Also, Canada should be letting refugees from these two groups only. At this point we have no idea who Canada is letting and no doubt the PC crowd would be screaming bloody murder if Muslim were excluded.
One of the comments with the linked story that summed it up is how Glasgow somehow doesn’t have the multi-yr wait time for low income housing as other centers. If I was a young Scot trying to put together a life during already trying times I’d be major pissed off that my gov’t pulled the rug out.
I doubt much will happen. I was in Glasgow in 2006 when an Arab resident/medical student and his colleague set themselves on fire and tried to drive a car into the airport terminal building. There was some public tut-tutting and the usual quiet resentment among citizens, but little else. The burka bags strolling along Glasgow streets remained unhindered. There are probably even more of them now.
The Scotts are a long way from the bold explorers they once were. I think that they, along with most other members of Western civilization, are either too cowed or too indifferent to defend their culture and way of life. There may be slightly more resistance to abject surrender in Canada, at least while the Conservatives govern, but the overall direction is not encouraging.

Never forget that Muslims have no issues at all about lying. If a Muslim cannot attend a Muslim School due to availability, they will at times attend a Catholic School over a Public School claiming to be Christian. The reason is the perception of better funding and somewhat insular enrollment (Especially from Jews).
Never think that a Muslim is beyond saying that they are “not Muslim” if opportunities present themselves. You could ask Obamba if you thought he wouldn’t lie to you.
