  7. A former soldier who was planning to attack a Veterans Affairs office has been sentenced to four years in prison.
    Glen Gieschen, 45, is getting 18 months of credit for time served in custody.
    He pleaded guilty in November to possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a weapon.
    Judge Sean Dunnigan said Gieschen’s crimes were “chilling in their intricate planning.”
    But the judge also said he believed Gieschen’s expressions of remorse.
    During Gieschen’s arrest in January 2014, police recovered firearms, body armour, possible bomb-making materials, schematics of a downtown Calgary skyscraper and a plan to attack the seventh-floor federal offices.

    There were a couple of bad apples, they got caught, now lets embrace the rest.

    That is why CANADA must be very careful who immigrates here. The ‘ progressives want to farm out the security checks to the UN and NGO’s on the ground.

  9. LoL. Nice try. But I read the article.
    Gieschen was suffering from MS. He may have been capable of plotting, but was he physically capable of carrying out his threats of violence? Maybe the judge sentenced him to only 4 years because his body might become a prison in 4 years time.
    Also, Gieschen was turned in by his wife and he was detained under the Mental Health Act. He was suicidally depressed. The judge probably also felt that treatment in a mental hospital created a mitigating circumstance. So unless you are trying to tell me that ‘ol Mo – the schizophrenic, sociopathic paedophile – left behind a series of teachings that instructed his cult followers to become insane criminals, rapists and slave owners, I am not sure what sort of point your post is trying to make? Are you trying to say that all mis-understanders of islam should be arrested under the Mental Health Act. Wouldn’t that have to be an admission that the whole cult of islam is insane? And wouldn’t that also suggest that all those prog defenders of islam are nucking futz as well?

    It is long over due for Life to mean just that.
    I, would have preferred to see blindfolds and a wall..
