Those Moderate Muslims!

Tarek Fatah;

In the last week of May, the Qatar-based Arabic news network Al-Jazeera polled its Arabic-language audience on the question: “Do you support the victories of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in your region?”
The results were shocking. Of the 56,881 Arabic-speaking respondents, a whopping 81% voted yes.

  1. This is not the slightest bit shocking. What is shocking is the ignorance of our politicians to the danger that we face.

  2. Not shocking at all; in fact it says it all.
We’re supposed to fight Islamism but Islamic communities not only won’t help, but support the other side, then scream Islamophobia every time they attack ours & their communities, societies and way of life.
Get off ME oil ASAP. Arm Israel to the teeth; let them deal with these a**holes, should they be so stupid as to attack them.

  3. It’s both “wtf” and it’s not even surprising.
This was reported in Canada as news?
Quite pleased to have something (new) to toss at my relatives when they toss the “religion of peace” argument at me.
I’m going to go with ISIS being the long awaited “reformation” that islam needed to simply return to its roots.
This is the real islam. ISIS, is real muslims.

  4. Had our CPC candidate speak to a group I belong to yesterday. She said in her opinion ISIS and their followers were ultimately going to be one of the most important security issues facing Canada in the future. Can’t say I disagree with her and this survey just supports that opinion.

  5. I agree with Ken. Nothing new here. Our politicians are still oblivious to the danger Muslim immigration presents. But say anything negative on the subject and be prepared to be called racist, hater and the usual fall back positions that are compatible with the beliefs of the enlightened crowd that feel we just need to be educated.

We naysayers have learned from experience and experience comes from mistakes. The strong support for Muslim immigration comes from our higher halls of learning and tenured professors. Only one of us can be right. As I have often lamented, it’s a shame that history lessons have been replaced by s*x ed, because the loudest voices supporting Muslim immigration are women, and they will be instrumental in destroying every freedom they take for granted to support a cause they know little about. But, hey, they have been educated and our way of thinking is so yesterday. I wish them luck. They will need it. Hope I didn’t set off any “triggers” here.
    I like the new captcha.

  6. YES.
ISIS is the reform. I tried to make this point in citing Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s naivety on an earlier thread.
Muslims don’t get that they live in shitholes because of Islam.
They think it’s due to a return to Jahiliyyah.
    Wikipedia:
Jahiliyyah (Arabic: جاهلية‎ ǧāhiliyyah/jāhilīyah “ignorance”) is an Islamic concept of “ignorance of divine guidance” or “the state of ignorance of the guidance from God” or “Days of Ignorance” referring to the barbaric condition in which Arabs found themselves in pre-Islamic Arabia (in the non-Islamic sense), i.e. …

  7. Like it was said so many times ago: there are two kinds of mooselimbs. There are aggressive mooselimbs who want to kill you and there are non-aggressive mooselimbs who want the aggressive mooselimbs to kill you.

  8. People in the US are more likely to be killed by a toddler than a ‘Muslim’ terrorist. It’s called relative risk.

  9. Just remember those were the relatively well off mooselimbs who have mostly unlimited access to information through Internet. These are educated affluent mooselimbs not some illiterate cave dwelling goat molesters.

  10. I dunno I think PMSH gets this. So does Jason Kenney. I haven’t see or heard one thing from either of them to the contrary.
What can they do? Publicly not much more than they have already done without running the risk of falling into a trap and having to defend themselves against the braying chattering class accusing them of being racists. It’s too close to an election to take chances that have no upside.

  11. Problem is, we’re too civilized now. The only way to defeat them is they way our ancestors in Europe did, with brutality and no mercy. Human rights will only apply to actual humans. Unfortunately since we’re unlikely to do that, it’s likely that we’ll eventually lose.

  12. At this moment, I’m watching ‘The National’ piece on how Canada is failing to do for the Syrians what was done for the Vietnamese in the 70’s. No mention of cultural differences or that the Vietnamese fleeing their land were for the most part, allied with western interests and against the communist regime.
OTOH, who knows whom a Syrian immigrant identifies with? Odds are they would not embrace western values that are antithetical to Islam and Sharia.
But for the CBC it’s all cultural equivalance all the time and if it gives them a chance to slag the Conservative gov’t for ‘lacking compassion’ in advance of an election, all the better.

  13. “killed by a toddler” Really?
I would like to see some statistics on THAT one. Remember that nearly 3,000 people were killed by “Muslim Terrorists” on 9/11.

  14. Do a Google search for: you are more likely to be killed by a toddler than a terrorist.

  15. I agree. The alternative to C – 51 would be what the Israeli’s do and that is profile. We all know where that would lead. The SJW crowd along with the drama queen Turdos and the bearded skid would be wailing from the roof tops. The media party would drop Duffygate and gleefully target their resources at the new secret agenda of the evil CPC.

  16. “……..It’s called relative risk.”
Relative risk for what end? An abundance of middle easterners to drive those taxis the Mexicans won’t drive”
The Muslim terrorist risk level is proportionate to the demographic numbers of Muslims in the US multiplied by the liberal protections they receive from the Liberal left, divided by the Nations legal rights & freedoms to protect themselves with firearms.
That is why the “relative risk” in the US is much lower than in say France. It has nothing to do with “Moderate Muslims” loving American’s/ Canadian more than they do the French, Brit’s, Thai, Hindu or Scandinavians. They deal with plenty of “relative risk”, while we invite more of it each passing day.

  17. It is unsurprising to me that many in the West don’t get it. After all, how many kids in your local school have stripper names like Candy, Shea and Gigi?
The Mooselimbs are experiencing a surge of religiosity similar to the one in the West during the 1800s when kids were all named Prudence and Rachel. Everything is all Islam, all the time. Maybe more like the puritans of the 1600s, with their self-regard and holierthanthou attitude.
Where does anybody think all these foreign fighters in Assghanistan and Iraq are coming from? Religion is BIG BUSSINES in the ME these days, every two-bit mullah in every sh1t town down a side road in the desert is preaching fire, brimstone and 72 virgins. The rubes are eating it up.

  18. // 81% of arabs support ISIS //
    +
ONLINE POLLS — even dogs don’t know what to do with them.
[And don’t folks around here have some experience in crowdsourcing the results of online polls?]
Even Tarek Fatah [who really doesn’t like Arabs] says “The results of this online survey may not be scientific.”
    +
So lets try a real poll & the same question
// Respondents’ answers to the question “In general, do you have a positive or negative view of ISIL?” //
And the average among Arab nations, is 11% Posiitve “to some extent.” [4% positive]
    +
AND the page from the actual polling organization says —
A Majority of Arabs Oppose ISIL, Support Air strikes on the Group
Findings from a survey by the Arab Opinion Index team, within the Doha-based Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, and which were presented at near-simultaneous press conferences in Doha and Washington, DC, have demonstrated the depth of the Arab public’s distaste for the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
Findings from telephone interviews with 5,100 respondents in seven Arab countries and in Syrian refugee camps located Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey show that 85% of the Arab holds negative views of ISIL, to varying degrees.
This compares to only 11% of the Arab public whose views towards the group were either “Positive” or “Positive to some extent”.

  19. Quote – “These are educated affluent mooselimbs not some illiterate cave dwelling goat molesters.”
Prefer to read this as “effluent mooselimbs.”

  20. If one went by the anti-ISIS demonstrations by peaceful Muslims, it would seem the support for chaos was closer to 100%. Polls can be anything activists want them to be but the number of atrocities don’t lie. Don’t hear of many Christians beheading Muslims or filling streets demanding death to all muslims.

  21. Google comes up with mostly anti-gun propaganda. A vital part of the comparison would be comparing the total number of toddlers and the number of terrorists in the comparison. I’m pretty sure that in a chance encounter with a terrorist with an AK-47, your chances of getting shot are a lot higher than in an encounter with a toddler who has been given a gun before he/she is aware of safety considerations.

  22. golly. it sure does not look good for Canada down the road. balls anyone. courage to speak the unspeakable. hmmm, not likely.

  23. Looks like some 17 percent responded “don’t know” and the 2 remaning percents are the moderate muslims. No surprise here.
