From CBC coverage of the trial of Amanda Korody and John Nuttall, who placed two pressure-cooker bombs at the BC legislature during Canada Day celebrations in 2013 after telling an undercover offers that they wanted to build a more effective bomb than that of the Tsarnaev brothers, because “Boston only killed eight people”:
Outside court, Nuttall’s mother, Maureen Smith, told reporters her son and his girlfriend were being made an example of by the federal government. “The Canadian government wants everyone so they can have more control over the people and say, ‘Oh look, we’re doing our job, look at these terrorists,'” said Smith.
This dastardly government stands in stark contrast to the would-be bombers, who are —
“…two of the sweetest people you could ever meet in your life.”
No word yet on whether Nuttall’s mother is related to Michael Harris.

Here’s a nice rebuttal to the delusions of sufferers of Harper Derangement Syndrome:
“Something like this is happening with anti-Harpermania. Listen to the invective of Harper haters and you would think he is a brutal tyrant who, after seizing power in some kind of bloody coup, has driven Canada into the ground. And yet, by any objective measure, Canada is doing relatively well. Even the most hysterical Harper haters probably would not trade Canada’s situation with that of too many other countries in the world. This in spite of nine years with Harper at the helm. If the haters were right about Harper, we would be in the toilet with Venezuela and Greece by now instead of on top of the world.”
Harper-haters condemn him for emasculating Parliament. Never mind that he decisively won a majority in Parliament and that he continues to hold the confidence of that majority and of Parliament itself. That’s what the haters really can’t stand. They lost, he won, they’re good, so he must be condemned.”

I comment periodically on the ipolitics site after Harris writes his twice weekly hate screed against Harper. it is amusing to see the crazy responses I get over there.
Anyway, if any of the more articulate posters here could join me, that would be incredibly entertaining. Harris is crazy.
What a psycho. Guess who I’m talking about?
Harris’s latest begins as follows (what ????):

The trial (or is it ‘smile’?) of the century is about to resume. Before it’s done, Mike Duffy’s day in court could resemble an extended Rick Mercer skit. In the end, the former happy Buddha of the news biz could wind up convicted of … being a senator. (Unless, of course, the Royal Conservative Mounted Police learn that Duffy converted to Islam just before he took all that money.) So far, nothing has been established in court to suggest that…
Memo to Maureen Smith: give me five minutes alone with your son, and you’ll be begging for the legal system to deal with him instead.
We had family at that particular Canada Day celebration. Are very glad these two were intercepted. Memo to Maureen Smith: your son’s virulence and hatred weren’t provoked by the authorities; they came from his heart and you should be ashamed of his thoughts.
How come none of the family surnames ever match when this kind of shit goes down? Things that make you go “hmmmm….”
Prime Minister Mean J. Guy, and with another majority! Who knew?
“after telling an undercover offers that”… there is no such thing as editors in todays post-literate world.
\I could cite more shite but what-the-hey.
Name the Prime Minister Snidely Whiplash the villian from Dudley DoRight of the RCMP
“Harris is crazy”
Kind of, but he’s more childish than crazy. The tone of the stuff he’s been spouting these last few years is catty and silly – not at all professional. It is as if Harper had turned him down for a job and Harris is determined to get even for the insult.

Now we know why Michael Harris was fired from CFRA radio in Ottawa
Actually I find Harris amusing. I wonder how many keyboards he’s shorted out with flying foam and spittle over the last few years?
HHP (Harper Hatred Psychosis) is rooted in the Ottawa press gallery who were grounded by Harper’s deflating of this pious gaggle of self-important scribes – it has now spread to the fringe elements who pose as mainstream Canadians.
James Walker @ May 28, 2015 11:56 PM_ Speaking of self important poser scribes, I had a browse of the I-politics site and it certainly is an echo chamber for deranged fringe Harper haters – a place they can go to rub their shrivelled little scrotes against a group Harper hatred scratching post. Harris has completely gone off his meds and even the dorks who reinterpret the EKOS polling are an amusing example of ideological delusion – the one scribbler says the surge in NDP support comes from “university intellectuals” LOL
Too bad Harris has lost it all to hatred which all started with Harper’s stand on Iraq, to side with our traditional allies, at the time he wasn’t even in power. There’s just no rational explanation for someone to go so far over the edge over someone in politics, especially when that someone is doing more than a reasonable job of taking care of our business as prime minister. He has great respect around the world.
Harris lost his talk show with Ottawa’s CFRA,no reason was given, if it was just due to low audience they. and he would have revealed that. He will be very popular with the media from now until the election but he won’t help their cause to defeat Harper. When a person is known as a hater people will be turned off and simply consider the source.
There’s a picture of Mr. Harris at the link, that guy looks like he’s on lithium or some other major anti-psychotic med.
His work certainly reads that way as well. If he isn’t genuinely nuts, this Harris dude has his head shoved really far up his own colon. Several feet, going by this example.
Michael Harris and his readers seem to be seriously disturbed mentally. Perhaps a call to his local mental health district (and the RCMP) would be in order.
You gotta wonder why Jean Chretien never got heat from getting Pakistan to release the murderer Khadr’s father from prison there. Had he not done so, (for votes) there would be a military medic alive still, to go home to his wife and children, and we would not be looking at his creepy son, nightly!

A good link and story!
I’ve been saying for years that conservatives need to start taking notes and identifying the Liberal Left who hide in the shadows of our communities.
