  3. NATO has been sonambulistic since the fall of the Soviet Union.
    Russian military bullying in Europe to both NATO and non-NATO members are waking them up. Military budgets and updating armaments are being increased.
    Their old belief on the protection of Pax Americana and treaties to that effect, are suspect. The U.S. is no longer viewed as a dependable ally, not under Pres. Obama and maybe not under a Democrat successor e.i. Shrillary.
    Europe is very slowly realizing that the growing threat of Islamist aggression in the Middle-East will, if not stopped, require a serious response from Europe
    or it will be overwhelmed simply by uncontrolled immigration.
    The fifth column within Europe is substantial and is growing in N.A. , too.

  4. How soon before the Russians push too far and shoot down or clip a western fighter plane? After all they forced a Korean airliner down in 1978, shot down another one in 1983 and must take a big part of the responsibility for downing the airliner over Ukraine last year. And in each case what were the consequences…..zip….zero….and would obama even care.

  5. I don’t understand what the big deal is. This has been going on for decades. If you will look at the as-delivered CF-18’s you will notice something on the side of the nose – a big spotlight. The purpose – to blind the vision of Tupolev “Bear” pilots.
