Great story and points made do show the oversensitive intolerance the Left has for traditional opinion. I can understand the gay couple’s anger – the sign was noticed after their visit to the store and maybe they would have taken their business elsewhere if they had known the owners support traditional marriage. But still – everyone is getting too thin a skin over opinion and debate. Right now it’s too one-sided. Blunt force is being used to silence and in the case of the CBC – the reporting was decidely imbalanced. There’s always two sides to a story but unfortunately for our national broadcaster it only has eyes to see one of them.
You have that right. The destruction of the family has been the plan of the left for a hundred years. Look around…they have largely succeeded. Forty years ago I was sympathetic and supportive. Now, a full 180 turn. Too much forced acceptance.

The left IS for diversity, they just don’t consider white conservatives as part of the equation.
I don’t get too incensed by these stories any more, because thanks to Kate and Chick-Fil-A, we know what works in response to this crap: own your identity, double down on your beliefs, never waver, never apologize. There’s a lot, lot more of us than there are of them, and when we stand up for each other, we don’t just win, we conquer. Chick-Fil-A is doing better, not worse, for the attempted boycott.
I think we should spread the word when activists try to suppress businesses like this, but I’d rather see more calls for rallying ’round the flagpole and less woe-is-me victimhood.
As an aside, this is the first of Brian’s videos I’ve actually watched – it’s rarely convenient for me to have audio playing where I read SDA – but I wanted to say that I vastly prefer the tone and presentation of these videos to the old Sun News ones. I prefer Brian’s calm, reasoned style here over the shouty, ranty approach of Sun News.
My daughter is a militant gay lesbian social justice warrior. If there were any redeeming qualities to these people I would’ve found them.
The truth of it is that they are not nice people, they want to tell you what you can say, they want to tell you what you can think, and most of all they want to make you miserable.
The truth of this is that if you were back down to these people they will destroy you. In this case the shop owner should of showed some spine and told them to go sod themselves. My feeling is that this is a cheap publicity stunt.

The Edmonton Catholic School Board just surrendered to the shrill queer agenda. Some mother who dresses her 7 year old son in dresses received permission for the little angel to pee with the girls. Did anyone ask the elementary school girls what they thought? Is the only one with balls the 7 year old trans-gendered “girl” What does that constitutionally guaranteed Catholic education mean? When the closet door opened it never occurred to me they would race past acceptance and rush to force mandatory approval in the name of diversity and political correctness with the help of a media that can never resist a freak show. Peter, you were either too kind or too naïve – I’m unsure which. I believed from the outset that it was never about ‘tolerance’ but rather that a goal was set for not just ‘acceptance’ but approval. But it hasn’t even ended with approval. It has gone on to celebration and glorification. Hence the broadening from ‘gayness’ to transgenderism, two-spirit, cis-gender and a score of other subspecies of made up sexuality.
Every one of them celebrates their victimhood because it allows them to paint everyone else as their oppressor and to claim recognition and social privilege. Everyone wants to be recognized as a unique and special sexual snowflake, thus claiming their fifteen minutes of fame.
XX and XY chromosomes are just a social construct that have no basis in physical reality in the face of their mighty entitlement to be whatever they deem their birthright.
So let me get this straight. The jeweller is the victim here for being criticized because they publicly support denying equal rights to a specific group of people? Rainbow flags are not attempting to deny anybody rights. They merely say “Gays welcome here”. This is still necessary in this day and age, because there are plenty of turds who don’t believe that Gays should have equal rights. Or that they should even be allowed to live.
To be clear, nobody has said that he is not allowed to have that sign up. The police have not come. There will be no punishment. What is happening, is that the market (that thing he called “the mob”) is now reacting. People are spreading the word that this business owner is an intolerant bigot. He is now paying the price for that. Threats are absolutely unacceptable, but people speaking their minds to the owners on their FB page and spreading the word about their believes is 100% above board.
You can think whatever you like. But if you choose to wear a strong opinion on your sleeve, then be prepared for a backlash. And don’t pretend that Conservatives don’t do this. It wasn’t two weeks ago that you people soiled your collective panties over a tweet from a Montreal restaurant.
