Ya know, there are more than enough genuine brutal police beatings and killing to protest – why do these race based police protest riots and kangaroo trials happen over incidents where the police are clearly in the right. It is an established pattern now from Trayvon rioting to Furguson to NYC to Baltimore – always the wrong attempt to find fault with police – in the midst of plenty of real police thuggery incidents.
And my theory that this is all orchestrated by the whitehouse and the defunct acorn network has me wondering if this is as much an attempt to alienate city cops and have them strike or quit as it is to stir race riots – either way the end result will guarantee martial law as a solution to the orchestrated civil strife.
Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, is married to the Baltimore City Council member who represents areas of West Baltimore, where the riots occurred.
Anyone not think that the rush to charge officers didn’t have something to do with that.
She is likely under an enormous amount of pressure to bring an indictment of murder (intentional harm). Some say that this would be the only acceptable outcome for upset residents who would likely protest an indictment of involuntary manslaughter or no charges at all.

Another thing you won’t hear on CJME is that the Mayor of Baltimore issued a stand down order to the police the night of the major riots, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake told news outlets that her city government “gave those who wished to destroy space to do that.”
I’ve made it very clear that I work with the police, and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters could exercise their right to free speech. It’s a very delicate balancing act because while we tried to make sure they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on, we gave those who wished to destroy space to do that, as well. And we worked very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to deescalate. And that’s what you saw.

While there are certainly procedural problems in the Baltimore PD regarding arrest and transport of suspected criminals that need to be addressed, what is going on now is clearly political and to throw a few cops to the ravenous hounds is considered an acceptable sacrifice. Maybe what the Baltimore policemen should all do is phone in sick for a few days and then let the city burn baby burn. If I were a white cop in Baltimore I’d be looking for a new line of work and another place to live. Baltimore is going to become an even more unsafe place to live and do business in, in the future.
On a related topic I notices another station last night bring coverage of the annual May day anarchist gathering in Seattle. The Mayor and Police Chief had a much different attitude then Baltimore, the first sign of violent behaviour and preplanned procedures came into play to arrest and isolate the mob.
Over the last few years I have begun to wonder if Obama deep down wants another real civil war in America, he may be on the verge of getting his wish.

I would have thought that more than 3 were black because the headlines didn’t read “white cops kill unarmed black boy scout.” Do we get to guess which one was charged with murder? Because this isn’t a procedural issue, because they were not in the right. Google “Baltimore rough ride” they handcuff you, throw you on the floor of the van and take you for the ride, by the time they’re done you are properly tenderized. Past instances included cases when millions were paid by the city for reconstructive surgery or as compensation to people who were paralyzed form neck down for the rest of their lives. Never a cop was charged for that. Finally some are. They knew well what they were doing and they should hang. Simple as that.

Ok. So you have a few Black police officers being charged. That does not change the fact that African American citizens are more likely to be shot and killed by the police than Caucasians. And that it’s mostly Caucasian cops doing the shooting. But this is also really about the fact that America is a sick culture. And largely because it is infected by people who think capitalism, and only capitalism is the best way to run a country. On that note… you should read this great piece by David Simon. Don’t freak out just because you see Marx in there. It’s not what you think.

As for this particular situation, let’s try and focus people. This is still a very strong indicator of out of control police. It might not be a Black/White issue. But it is about police acting brutally, and dishonest. They have no moral authority to uphold the law if they themselves are not governed by it. So instead of pointless hairsplitting, can we all get together on this and say “good”. Give them a fair trial, and if they are guilty, hold them responsible for their crimes.
We don’t have to fight over everything.
