  1. Media and head shrinkers preying on gullible people.
I could not care less if someone obsesses over their food. And if they are obsessing over healthy food, who is being hurt? If it wasn’t food, these people would be agonizing over something else. We all know these types. Just leave them alone and they will be OK.

  2. Who cares what these twits eat … they aren’t doing crime or drugs or anything bad that I can see … so who cares what they choose to eat … ….. We need a famine to get the growing numbers of grossly fat people to lose some weight and get healthier, but veggie eaters are no problem that I can see … they are goofy about their health and probably worship Gaia and and David Suzuki’s Bull Shyt and will vote for Justin Clouseau, but other than that …. harmless.
I agree the first commenter …. this is a non issue unless there is something up that is not apparent …. anyone?

  3. My policy about what other people eat is the same as my policy about what other people screw. Not my issue not my problem. What is the scientific term for people who have an unhealthy obsession with other peoples business?

  4. Screw PETA,PCRM,UNION of CONCERNED SCIEINISTS,MARON NESTLY,NEAL BERNARD,CSPI,MICHEAL JACOBNSEN,MORGAN SPURLOCK and the rest of the annoying food scold jerks they can go soak their friggin heads

  5. ” Just leave them alone and they will be OK”
This is fine, so long as they also leave us alone, but the type to obsess as described is likely also the type to impose their ideas on others.

  6. I just enjoy the spectacle, on all sides.
There is no question many people do much better and resolve nagging health issues by eliminating processed foods, especially sugar, flour and vegetable oil. This seems to be the common denominator of the recent diet shifts. Much of the science pushing this is coming from new insights into the role of hyperinsulinemia in obesity, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular disease and cancer. But then prudence becomes an obsession, overlooking the truism is that poison is in the dose and tolerance is person specific.
Such a dietary shift is of course counter to the vested interest of large scale commercial agriculture, processed food manufacturers and pharmaceuticals, so it stands to reason there would be an attempt to stigmatize the shift as a mental disorder.
Tragedy from the perspective of the God is comedy.

  7. Bingo!!! And not happy to just dictate what others will eat but how it will be farmed.
I dont walk into a manufacturing plant and dictate how to make their widgets…something i know nothing about. But some have no hesitation dictateing how my animals are fed, housed and vetted.

  8. Fanatics and Evangelists.
These people have a need to “spread the word” and evangilize “the good news” about locavorism, veganism, or a dozen other ideas on how people should live their lives. And ever since they have discovered their cause, many become fanatical proselytizing converts determined to save you from the evils of “corporatism,” “mass production,” or one of a dozen other bogeymen.
    Why?
    Why do they do that?
They have a big hole in their hearts, that a Belief in God normally fits into. People naturally have a need in their souls to believe in SOMETHING bigger than themselves. Most of us use religion, and our belief in God. Many of these people do not have a strong religious belief, so they substitute a belief in something else. Politics, Veganism, or a non-traditional religion. And like many converts, they become “more holy than the Pope,” and proselytize. We notice them because they are loud and they are actively engaging us to convert us to their “way.” And some burn out and moderate their belief.

I put a BMW 1100RS motorcycle in my heart hole along with my wife and my cat …. I do not care if others believe in motorcycling as a spiritual activity … just so long as they stay out of my face shield.
