This is the sort of thing you’d expect in a banana republic:
The Department of Justice blocked an attempt to force the Internal Revenue Service to search for Lois Lerner’s missing emails at off-site storage facilities, according to a lawyer pushing to obtain the emails.
The IRS never looked for Lerner’s backup email tapes at the West Virginia storage facility where they were being housed. Treasury deputy inspector general Timothy Camus told Congress that the IRS never asked IT professionals at the New Martinsville, W.V. storage site for the backup tapes. Camus only found the backup tape for Lerner’s missing 2011 emails about two weeks ago.
But the Obama administration knew that emails were stored at off-site facilities, and even shut down a legal request to send somebody to go look for them.
Gee, almost as if they didn’t look on purpose…

They must have farmed out the request to recover the emails to the Dept of Negligence, Criminal Contempt & Wise Guys.

If any good comes out of the contempt, lawlessness and cynicism of this administration it’s that these few years will be remembered as the time when the MSM — particularly the “big three” television networks — hammered the final nails into their own coffins.
Everybody and their dog knows that if it was the Republicans and not the Democrats it wouldn’t just be the top story on the national newscasts, it would dominate the news cycle for months on end, and in fact there would probably be special prime time updates/reports — “A Country in Crisis”.
The media lickspittles are going to pay the price for putting on sunglasses, turning the other way, and whistling in (non)response to this unconstitutional, lawless administration.
They’ve been providing cover for this anti-America POS, and it will cost them.

The only remarkable aspect of this is that it is not the least bit remarkable.

The American electorate isn’t angry enough. I don’t know if they can ever be. This revelation (used in the loosest sense of the word) isn’t just infuriating; it’s mind-boggling in that the Americans aren’t getting off of their collective @$$es and rioting.
There can be riots in Ferguson, Missouri but not anywhere else when the government is involved.
Now that we know about the conspiracy (news flash to anti-conspiracy nuts: Yes Virginia, there are Conspiracies) to block off the search for thousands of Lois Learner’s IRS e-mails which were public property, just imagine how easy it was for Obama to shut down the search for a single birth certificate or the official transcripts of his personal courses and scores at various colleges.
The whole inability to produce a genuine birth certificate was a harbinger, a benchmark, for things to come.

Trouble is, if a crash comes, most folks will go along with what they are told by the MSM. The housing crash was blamed on Bush and evil capitalists, although it was the Dems who forced the policies through to set up that crash. In a democracy, it is the character and thinking ability of the population that sets the future of a country, and the USA has seen both severely undermined in the age of entertainment. When Hollywood celebs and Oprah influence public behavior and beliefs more than our own families, faith, historical successes, or even plain old facts, a change of government will only postpone the downward slide.

The ones who are paying attention are -very- angry. Republican win in the election? Yeah, they’re p1ssed.
The ones on the dole are too, just for different reasons. You notice an uptick in news stories about American cops getting ambushed by lowlife? Its slowly starting. The lower class is getting squeezed, and beginning to hit back.
However the vast majority are still Just Fine. They’re going to work, going to the store, driving their SUV, they’re Doing All Right.
Let that change for even two weeks. THEN you’ll see something.
