Oh, Frack!

Washington Free Beacon;

A shadowy Bermudan company that has funneled tens of millions of dollars to anti-fracking environmentalist groups in the United States is run by executives with deep ties to Russian oil interests and offshore money laundering schemes involving members of President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle.
One of those executives, Nicholas Hoskins, is a director at a hedge fund management firm that has invested heavily in Russian oil and gas. He is also senior counsel at the Bermudan law firm Wakefield Quin and the vice president of a London-based investment firm whose president until recently chaired the board of the state-owned Russian oil company Rosneft.

  1. I cannot be bothered to rewrite a commentary that has been withheld for some reason. It happens to many times so I am moving on.

  2. And the Ukrainian conflict has nothing to do with oil and gas pipelines to Europe.
We’ve really been ‘Putin’ up with a lot of nonsense.
Then there is the “O’Bambi-Nation™” with the deer in the headlights look as the Warren Buffet oil train thunders down the track.
After all energy independence is a heretical concept to captive interests…

  3. Quelle surprise. The USSR had been funding so many leftist groups in the West like Ban the Bomb, the anti Vietnam groups that the same lefty traitors have belonged to. Their fellow travellers, Suziki, Gore, the Sierra Club and Greenpeace are just today’s version.

  4. Quelle surprise. The USSR and now Russia have been funding these anti-Western groups like Ban the Bomb, now Suzuki, Gore and Greenpeace for decades. These traitors are allied with their fellow lefties now with islam

  5. Well well well. I wonder how the anti-war bunch will react to taking money from a guy who’s shooting people in the Ukraine? The cognitive dissonance will be palpable.

  6. No USSR, and they are no longer actively Communist. But they are still Russian: paranoid, devious, and imperialist. I don’t blame Putin for his efforts to advance Russian interests. That’s his job. I blame our government (and society as a whole) for being too trusting, too idealist, and failing to look for the puppet masters working the tree-huggers’ strings.

  7. “I don’t blame Putin for his efforts to advance Russian interests.”
I do. There is a right way and a wrong way to advance your country’s interests and Putin is doing it the wrong way because he is more interested in Vladimir’s interests than Russia’s.
Putin is a cold blooded murderous thug.

  8. Well, imagine that! Who knew!
It is way past time for our government to start auditing these so-called environmental groups. Don’t look for the IRS under this administration to go after these groups.

  9. Ahh look at their green hands turning black with the oil the eco-freaks are hypotcrits and their have the blood of inocent birds on their hands as well

  10. Is there any indication that any of the anti Keystone XL pipeline groups have same funding links?

  11. Disagree Oz, when you look at history. Putin is simply using the most direct method … and responding to a serious threat from the EU and USSA.
There used to be a tacit agreement between Uncle Sam and Uncle Samovich with regard to their respective backyards.

  12. Hollywood wank Matt Damon was in a anti-fracking moviea few years ago PROMISSED LAND it Bombed by time and the eco-freaks were devistated

  13. It would be a fantasy to think that US Anti-democracy (communist) groups don’t engage in treason. The Obama Administration & the Republican Congress have compete knowledge of OPEC & Russian funding of the Democrat’s green agenda. It is a full circle of treason …no other explanation

  14. Yep.
Domestic enemies are much more dangerous, as they don’t have to invest much in warfare.

  15. Leave Sputering Blower alone, wood U, he makes my posts look good, and that’s hard to do:-)))

  16. What ” serious threat “? The criminal fears the policeman, and his efforts to negate the threat are just another aspect of his criminality. In other words his persecution is just.
The West has bent over backwards to integrate Russia into all the advantages of Western institutions; the only persecution he has received was over his assault on Ukraine. The West values a peaceful Europe, and Russia has chosen war. It should be stopped.

  17. Pretend the world is a typical western neighborhood for a moment. Your neighbor on one side is a crack shack, the other side are a pedarast couple. The rich pedarasts are quiet and mostly leave you alone except for constantly trying to trade merchandise and bugger your son. The crack shack occupants, on the other hand, having decided that they want your house, have kicked down the back fence, kidnapped your daughter and are camped out on your deck. The cops keep promising to do something, but have so far only given you a 30% discount coupon on a home alarm. But you don’t have much confidence in police anyway, since they took away your guns 20 years ago and are a full hour away if they decided to help, which they haven’t. Oh and the pedarasts are biggest customers of the crack shack. That is Ukraine.
This is Canada. Don’t be confused.

  18. Canada lets crack houses run for 3 months before busting them.
You are a fool, and probably a wannabe killer.

  19. “The cognitive dissonance will be palpable.”
Won’t happen. You have to have more than two working brain cells for that to occur.

  20. “Disagree Oz, when you look at history.” “There used to be a tacit agreement between Uncle Sam and Uncle Samovich with regard to their respective backyards.”
Oh, you mean like Russian nuclear missiles in Cuba 90 some miles off the coast of Florida in 1962. Like that history? Or did you mean Russian nuclear armed bombers using Cuban airfields in 2009.
    http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/03/14/russia.cuba.bombers/index.html
The Cubans publically announced their agreement with Russia to use their airfields in December 2014.
    http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/cuba-russia-agreement-Lourdes/2014/12/18/id/613810/
But as you can see from the 2009 link, the Russians could have had a non-public agreement with Cuba since 2009 or even earlier.
Our press is on the other side so who knows. Hope this information helps you.

  21. The deamc-RATS are not about to ever allow drilling for oil anywhere becuase their directly in the pockets of the eco-nazis

  22. Speaking of fracking, to frack or not to frack, that was the question during the New Brunswick election. The winner of that election was against it before the election but did he not decide to frack himself after he won, or at least revisit it?
