As a result of such nanny-state fascism, given the choice of hiring an obese applicant and a non-obese applicant guess who wont be getting the job – the fat one. It’s the Law of unintended consequences and it has to be learned again and again and……
Ironically, this could have the effect of fat people losing weight because they won’t have anything to eat as no one will ever hire them.

An employer can set whatever job qualifications they want. “The successful applicant will be chosen for compatiblity with existing staff” At least that’s how it is in our jurisdiction in Canada.
I have a few fat friends. they are really nice people and pleasant to associate with. everyone of them has complex medical problems and I am sure their life spans will be affected by their problems.
Employers will be looking at which kinds of disabled persons to hire so that they have a “quota” on staff to show they aren’t discriminating against the obese.
Europe has already suffered too many politically activated famines, what Europe needs is a revolt against the fascist regime in Brussels.

No doubt the government will continue to hire obese people. They’ll probably hire obese, black or aboriginal lesbians to get the most bang for their anti-discrimination buck. Fortunately all the obese people are office drones. They’re unqualified for field work so I can easily avoid having to deal with them. In any case I don’t hire obese people. They don’t pass the job qualification test mentioned above. Yes, I’m bigoted, and will remain that way; it’s my right.

Personally, I have no animosity against obese people, as they struggle with weight gain, and as long as they are fit for task, I have no problem hiring them. I have no desire to promote a “master race”.
