Wynneing with Justin

Coming out in favour of bloated, intrusive, debt-ridden big government:

“(Federal Finance Minister Joe Oliver) should be working alongside Premier (Kathleen) Wynne to build a plan to help Ontario proper. Instead, what does he do? When she put out a budget focused on jobs and growth, he attacked it as a ‘route to economic decline.'”

Golly, I wonder what Trudeau II’s economic policies for the rest of Canada would be if he were to become PM.

  1. Trudeau attacks Harper because it is all he knows what to do and his low-information fan club laps it up because it would do the same thing. Trudeau’s ideas, at best, are funny ones and not intentionally so. Wynne and McGuinty have helped ruin Ontario (we don’t want to entirely give them the credit because Liberal voters helped, too).
I would like the debates with Harper and Trudeau to be brief and incredibly bloody. Yes, the popular press will shred Harper to pieces because of his cool, collected manner in which he will eviscerate Trudeau but God, what fun to watch!

  2. “Wynne to build a plan to help Ontario proper”
I didn’t hear Trudeau speak, but I think the Star’s Donovan Vincent dropped the ‘S’ in pro(s)per from the original quote.
Premier Wynne has Ontario embarked on a radically socialist economic path that depends on subsidization from the Canadian government.
Money is being thrown into a Green pit from which there is no return and the Ontario economy will be strangled by ramping energy costs with no end in sight.
There is no prosperity to be had in socialism, especially green socialism.
Why can’t Wynne borrow the money from a bank instead of demanding Alberta’s money?
Too risky for the banks? Yeah, they see the writing on the wall, in red ink.
PM Stephen Harper, born and raised in Ontario, has a Master’s in economics.
I think he knows Ontario and he knows what works economically; particularly as compared to Justin Trudeau who was a drama teacher, born and raised in Quebec.

  3. can’t we just borrow our way to prosperity? Can’t we? Why not?
Budgets just balance themselves, after all!

  4. Justin doesn’t GET Ontario. The province is drowning in an historical debt due to three terms of McGuinty’s LIBERAL government going green crazy and hiking taxes, killing jobs, chasing out industry.
Justin is playing the provinces of Ontario and Quebec, both on the dole as if he could fix either when he has no conception of why they’re in sucking the equalization teat. Of course Wynne is blaming the Harper government for her problems, not giving her enough money to toss to the wind to make up for their own mismanagement.
Keep talking Justin, you’ll defeat yourself no matter who is behind the curtain pulling your strings your vacuity shines through.

  5. The Ontario LIBS a will be tapping CASINOS in their budgetary machinations instead of letting loose “small businesses” to get Ontario back into THE HAVE PROVINCE category!
    GEEZ, looney bastards!!

  6. Love the comments here…everyone gets it…preaching to the converted…now:
What are we doing to counter the media spin??
Did y’all notice Justins spacey-time comments were omitted from lamestream media coverage? (except of course Sun media)
CPC and SDA team…take note: get the message out!

  7. Does anybody really think that this character, Justin Trudeau, actually know whereof he speaks and actually wrote the screed hisself?
One would think that it was written for him by the cabal of characters in a smoke filled room in the back of the office somewhere. These may be sociologists, “journalists”, and other such airheads
They separate themselves from the masses so as not to get infected by real life.
Though his hair is holding up.

  8. To steal a quote from a fellow on the chopping blog: build a cabin – stock up on ammo.
And I thought the underground economy was booming now! Hell, we ain’t seen nothing yet.

  9. Omitting Justin’s “spacey-time comments” is all part of protecting their Boy, nothing new, they’ve been doing it since they unleashed their Shiny Pony. How will they be arranging to protect his vacuity when the debates start? We need to make this a coffee shop topic and anywhere else we gather. Save the country from Justin Trudeau and his faceless advisers.

  10. “Stephen Harper’s Conservatives “still don’t seem to get’’ Ontario.”
    — but of course an isolated, insulated privileged brat from the Laurentian elite does.
What the Heil it was a Liberal pow wow anyway – you can say anything there and it will be faithfully pimped by the social engineering media.
The duplicitous media agenda to buden us with a rapacious parasitic political elite continues – we could be exploring and colonizing the galaxy but our evolution has been mired in regressive politics and leaders who misdirect public policy on diversionary insignificancy while they extort what wealth remains to entrench parasitic political class continuity.
Liberal leader Zoolander and his media party are at the core of social/cultural arrested development – they have no solutions and no vision outside of what benifits their tiny elite class.

  11. It should be obvious what’s going on. Ontario is the key to winning national elections. If Ontario remains a debt-ridden mess dependent on federal transfer payments then it should be evident that this moves Ontario into supporting a left-of-centre position (only the Libs and Dips can be counted on to keep the largesse flowing).
Simply because Shiny Pony is stupid and ignorant, it’s wrong to assume that he and those behind him aren’t possessed of a certain amount of low cunning. Sweden’s been caught in the same electoral trap for three decades. Entitlement voters determined the fate of the US Presidential elections in 2008 and 2012, same with France when Hollande won. So the big government spending parties are trying the same thing here as well.
And it will work. Voters NEVER take the long view.

  12. I occurred to me, the Ontario LIBRANOs are much like the priestkings of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Overseeing the destruction, while raising religious monuments that feed and cloth no-one…..nor keep them warm….but absorb already scarce resources.
Trivia: All the Moi (statues) face inland.
    Thar’s a moral in there somewhere….

  13. The Toronto Star is by far, the largest newspaper in Canada. They and the rest of the media will cover for all of Trudeau’s stupidity, just as the American media did for Obama. I can only imagine that we have an entire continent of people who were educated in leftist craphole schools, and that this is their best grip on reality. The Gods of the Copybook Headings are going to come back with a vengeance. I am still betting that Trudeau will be the next PM. Organize your affairs accordingly.

  14. The province of Ontario is the biggest problem in Canada today, it’s a monster demanding more and more for less and less. The monster has gotten it’s arse stuck in a corner on a big wad of debt and it’s everybody’s fault but the Liberal romp of Dalton McGuinty and his wrecking crew.
The windmills are still turning, being erected, costing more and more for little to no return. The unions are demanding higher wages with no jobs to pay them, something’s gotta give and the only place they can call is the federal government, pay up or face defeat is their threat to the economy of the entire country.

  15. Hear, hear. Now can we talk of the west leaving these losers? There is such a huge divide of attitude and work ethic already between east and west already.

  16. Well folks…you know what this means..eh?
If that vacuous little TURD gets in….
We in the west will have our economies RAPED to save VOTE RICH Quebec and Ontario.
This will be NEP 2 and it will affect: BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Time to say F*** you – we are finally out of here.! SEPARATION.
I will be damned if my tax dollars and job is going to be used/destroyed by that vacuous pipsqueak drama teacher (community organizer), in order to keep the ~120 some odd seats in Ontario/Quebec.
This guy is dangerous and has the potential to destroy this country both economically and culturally. I despised his father and see him as an Islamic a$$ kissing, Union loving, vote buying – Anti Western (_i_)HOLE.

  17. The threats from the West to separate should Airhead Trudeau be elected by Ontario,
Quebec and Eastern provinces perpetually on the dole, need to start now. We need to get on board and draw up the plan. People who work for a living, in some cases it’s just an existence, are tired paying for slugs and greedy blowhards heading unions. With the Media Party on side they’re poised to take down the country’s economy….then what will the Indians do?
What a head scratching mess that is roiling up in this once great Dominion, prior to Commie Trudeau’s reign.

  18. The electorate responsible for the fiscally incontinent Wynne (green) theocracy is in the bag for the Spawn. Unlike Obama, the Spawn doesn’t even have to lie through his teeth to hide his agenda, thanks to that electorate. The only thing that can derail this march of idiots is if Quebec goes off the rails but given how they love screwing the ROC for the fun of it, the Spawn is likely their man(child) too.

  19. “There is such a huge divide of attitude and work ethic already between east and west already.”
I think the divide is more along the rural/urban division. Doesn’t matter if it’s Trawna, Calgary, or Vancouver. The electoral maps contain a lot more pink and red than blue.
Ontario is the most urbanized province, hence, the highest percentage of non-contributors.

  20. Steakman, you do realize that nobody in Ontario voted for Wynne except Toronto, Hamilton and London right? Look at an elections map some time. Doesn’t matter. She won because that’s where the most people live. (Except me, I couldn’t stand it any more. Morons!)
Problem is the same as its always been. All the population in Canada is pressed into three large cities, House representation is by population, Senate is a rubber stamp. Check out Plainzdrifter on the gun threads, that’s a perfect, perfect example of Ontario city thinking. Guns are ok “out in the country”, (aka MY back yard), but not in The World, Plainzdrifter’s back yard. Because that would be CRAZY, right? Guns in the city? Somebody could lose an eye!
And they don’t even think for one second about it. It is The Truth and nothing can shake them from it. It would take a nuclear-level catastrophe to penetrate that shell. Personally I’d rather not see something like that, although I have to admit the schadenfreude would be hugely satisfying. I’ll probably go to h3ll for that, won’t I? 🙂
Ontario Liberals are stealing our taxes and taking the money for themselves, is what’s happening. That’s what the windmills actually are. Theft. That’s why the province is tanking, we’ve got a huge lamprey eel sucking all blood out. Anybody who could escape, did.
And yes, you better believe that NEP II is right up at the top of the Federal Liberal’s list of things to do if they win a majority. Free cheese, baby!
Justin Of The Perfect Hair can win Toronto. He’s tailor made. He can win Montreal and Vancouver too. Can’t win anyplace else, but no place else matters.
Get working on those lawn signs, eh?

  21. Well said steakman.
You do realize, bartinsky, that building the Firewall is a Wild Rose Party plank which was ridiculed by your Union loving Progressive Party as fighting past battles don’t you?
Alberta was well placed to defend itself from Eastern rapacity when it was debt free.

  22. Now now folks there is no need to be upset. You simply have to rethink your Space Time Continuum. There that solves everything. See?

  23. *
if the sheeple in ontario could vote in the liberals time after time… they will have no trouble voting for the heir transparent.
remember, this is the place where an admitted drug abuser and his mentally off-kilter same sex partner can, by virtue of political connections, jump to the head of the adoption queue.
if we’re not prepared to protect orphans, what chance do ordinary citizens stand.

  24. I doubt if there’s any smoke in the LPC backrooms, and also doubt there are any sociologists, and the journalists are onside without lurking in back rooms. The real powers behind Trudeau are being carefully hidden while the media peddles the “man of the people, just one of us” lies.
I have seen thousands of comments at news sites that “Harper represents Big Oil or industry, while Justin represents us”!
Trudeau will be the obedient little boy of the money behind the LPC,the people we here well know, Power Corp., Bronfman,Bombardier,Asper,Stronach,Irving,McCain, etc.
And yes, they WILL rape the economies of Western Canada to pay for Ontario’s green lunacy. The billionaires don’t care, they have little invested in the West as they look to China and the ME,Europe and Asia for their business forays.
We are unimportant to the backers of the LPC, always were and always will be,roughly 240 parliamentary seats lie in the East. The West should format the least an autonomous region, but we have no Leader the start a movement to separate the West from the Union of Socialist Canadian Provinces.

  25. Cool your heads. The fact that the lightweight has favourable public opinion says more about present day Conservatives than about him. The longer the party is in power the less political instincts are at its disposal.

  26. Federal Finance Minister Joe Oliver should be working alongside teh RCMP to put Premier Kathleen Wynne in prison.

  27. That’s the sad part. People dumb enough to put Wynn back in office are dumb enough to vote Trudeau in. All the man child needs is Ontario and Quebec. The rest of the country is just a side show. Too bad Mulcair has the personality of a dead fish. If the NDP also had a handsome young dumbasastick leader the vote would be split nicely. Pity that the fate of the nation rests with nice hair and pixie dust as opposed to sound leadership.

  28. Oh Lord, if you hear my prayers please let the GTA (414, 905, 900, etc) become a province unto itself. Let the farmers, manufacturer, miners and foresters of the rest of the province make Ontario what it once was. There should be no windmill turning as long as water turbines remain idle ans water energy wasted.

  29. Don Morris & Phantom;
    Well said.
The thinking that has got Ontario in the fix they are is not restricted there. Plenty of that thinking out west as well. Check mayors of Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. The Libels have a very good foothold out here.
I have long ago concluded that the Liebels and Dippers and yes many conservatives do what they do for their personal advantage. A huge portion of society make their way in life by skimming their living from those who are actually productive and create wealth. So absolutely yes, there will be another NEP as that is how wealth is transferred back east for those people to consume. That is why a Dion championed Kyoto. A Federal tax that would skim money back to Ottawa.
I fear the CPC will be lucky to retain government. The Party has reverted back to top down. The grassroots have been silenced. The grassroots were who delivered many seats to the Reform Party and eventually the CPC. My riding was once a Reform hotbed and now there is just silence. People are not born conservative it requires on going education. The CPC has a hard time articulating their message. The clowns on the other side simply have to promise what ever works.
