  3. The lowly gas can. A staple in almost every garage in America, storing a little bit of gasoline for the lawn mower, weed whacker, snow blower, and chain saw. Unchanged for nearly 50 years. Until now. Thanks CARB and EPA.
    Back in 2008 the California Air Resources Board had stomped out all the major sources of air pollution in California, so they turned their Sauron-like gaze upon the evil, fume-spewing, toxin-dripping gas can as the next target of their regulatory empire. They mandated new containers and spouts that would eliminate those noxious off-gasses that contribute to smog in the valleys, and also prevent any possibility of spilling gas onto the ground. Of course, we all know what happens when bureaucrats design a new device, right?
    Yep, that’s right. The new gas cans with CARB-compliant spouts require three hands (at a minimum) to operate, inevitably cause the user to spill far more gasoline with each refuel of a lawn mower than he managed to spill over the previous decade in total, and flows with the velocity of a mouse with a bad prostate…

    They did not mention that JT does not have a home alarm system or that his wife left the doors unlocked.She may have been chosen because of her looks.
    Justin is incapable of looking after his own family. He is a f-up at the most basic level.
    He is a man-child, the real world had never intruded upon his existence, until now. And this intrusion is quite minor(come to my neighbourhood).
    Vote for JT, and then buy a gun for protection.
    He is worse than useless when he attempts to deal with reality.

  9. I had the misfortune of buying one of those feeble cans in Arizona. Made in Canada, by Scepter, would you believe? Fortunately, it was not too hard to defeat the spout valve, and make it work.

    We can still get good 20 Litre HDPE containers.
    I’ve got a couple of the old steel ‘jerry cans’, they’re still the best.

    Mr Zero increased gun sales there more than any previous ‘leader of the free world’. A Lieberal majority govt here would unwittingly encourage the same action by conservatives. The incident in HR is quietly being ‘ignored’ by the present conservative govt and bureaucratic policy is being set to make such ammo confiscations without compensation ‘legal’.

  12. Distinctive minority enclaves in most big cities contain an element that will erupt with violence and looting at any slight provocation. Here in Canada loosing a sports contest will do.
    That’s why American surplus military equipment from Iraq and Afghanistan is being recycled to municipal police forces. When violence and looting erupts these militarized SWAT forces should be deployed to restore law and order. Looters will be shot.
    The Muslims are quietly invading the American Rustbelt from Michigan to New York and forming enclaves. The radical elements will recruit the black thugs from the ‘hood’ into the jihad. That’s what they’ve done all over the world. If Islam intends to bring the war of conquest into America’s backyard, then the police will have municipal first-response SWAT teams equipped with enough firepower to put down any outbreak when it starts, before it gets out of control.
    Ferguson was just a dress rehearsal.

  14. Some great selections over the past couple days EBD!
    WRT the jerry cans, I’ve had a fair bit of experience with the older steel cans and the newer Scepter NATO jerry cans. I’ve currently got a few of the plastic Scepter NATO Jerrys (not to be confused with Scepter’s much thinner civilian Jerrys) which I use for my boat and for my Nissan Safari (Patrol).
    They are a brilliant design and far superior to the older steel cans in every way. Steel cans are lousy for long term storage because they corrode into the fuel. The flexible pour spouts that you screw onto the Scepter NATO jerry cans is also a brilliant design (very high flow and spill proof. The article is pure BS and the guy doesn’t even know the difference between NATO and the UN.

  17. Actually Sophie Grégoire seems to be the brighter of the two, which is not saying much. She had a career as a radio and t.v. reporter but mostly on the entertainment beat. She is also a yoga instructor.

A new Poli-sci study from a credible source confirms what George Carlin has said for years – “it’s a small club and you ain’t in it, you just get to sit outside the restaurant and watch them stuffing their faces on your dough.”

  20. Sounds like the Trudeau’s didn’t have their doors locked? He’s the leader of the third party, aspiring to become PM and doesn’t have an alarm system in his house sounds a little off base, not exactly too smart. Suppose the Liberals will be looking to afford him RCMP detail to guard his family until he gets into 24 Sussex, or, calling on the government to pay for his stupidity.

Wowza, just heard Marc Emory interviewed on radio , talk about a DOPE, I do hope he keeps talking and campaigning for Justin T, making pot legalization the most important issue in Canada and the world today. This jailbird/Prince of Pot says he’s been smoking pot “all his life” and never had a car accident, says he smokes it every day…people smoking it are more aware, it doesn’t affect their ability to drive like alcohol.

    -any other reports of prowlings, or did the prowler just hit it right on one try at trudeau’s house?
    -illegally enters an unlocked house and stacks up valuable’s but doesn’t take them, then leaves a message to lock your door.
    -first reported as a warning message, now it’s only reported as a threat and no more mention of the wording.

  23. A lot of questions arise from this but don’t count on too many answers. A regular home alarm system would deter anyone from breaking in but not if they haven’t got brains enough to lock all doors before going to bed, especially with children, and even keep them locked during the day even when you’re home. That’s the sad reality in our world today for ordinary folks, political people even more so.
    We can recall when an intruder got into 24 Sussex when Chretien was in residence and his wife had to grab something to fend the person off…..and they had RCMP security, proving this can happen no matter what but at least smart people do the basics to protect themselves and their families.

    Billionaire hedge-fund manager Tom Steyer attempted to explain why there is still a sizable portion of Americans that does not buy in to global warming alarmism by, basically, generalizing virtually all of America as not “super sophisticated.”

    “I think if you were to go around to most of the — what I would think of as super-sophisticated people who think about politics and policy more than five minutes a month — we are doing really well.”

  26. More Bad News About Ethanol. It Causes Corrosion and Leakage of Underground Fuel Storage Tanks.
    Ethanol got its start as an MTBE replacement when MTBE was found to contaminate groundwater. Both are octane boosters. MTBE, as a gasoline additive, was intended to help curb air pollution but was later found to be a carcinogen contaminant of groundwater.
    Fast forward to now. We all know that ethanol is contaminating groundwater by way of nitrogen fertilizer pollution in corn growing regions, but now we are learning that it may be contributing to leakage of underground fuel storage tanks. Furthermore, a São Paulo study suggests that ethanol increases ozone air pollution.

    A few weeks ago, NIST held a two day workshop here in Boulder to study how the combination of certain microbes with ethanol may be accelerating the corrosion of steel underground storage tanks of gasoline containing 10 percent ethanol. The industry is studying whether certain diesel tanks are now leaking because they previously held gasoline mixed with ethanol.
    The ethanol people will probably tell you this is yet another conspiracy by big oil against them. The oil people, on the other hand, will tell you how expensive it is to replace tanks and pipes and fittings and replace them with fiberglass ones to accommodate this product that is government mandated.
