I agree entirely. We have nothing to gain by staying with that organization, the despots and dictators are making fools of us, they are able to wield a majority vote. It’s beyond a joke, it’s a waste of money, time and space.

The World of the 21st century doesn’t need UN Observers to standby & watch genocide; the World Press is more than capable of recording the State of Affairs.
The UN have absolutely no authority, moral or otherwise, of preventing conflict. They have a record of dismal failure.

Ok L … you’re entitled to your opinion. Now how exactly would you have Israel respond to indiscriminate rocket attacks from a neighbour? I have heard lots of commentary about Israel’s response being disproportionate and even genocidal in nature. Keep in mind that those savages lobbing missiles into Israel make no qualms about wiping the Jews off the face of the earth. They also have no problem with rejecting any and all peace proposals and violating cease fire agreements whenever they see fit to do so.
Seriously L … what would be your response? Issue a stern reprimand to Hamas? Sit on your hands and wait for the UN to settle the conflict in a swift and mutually satisfactory manner? Remember Rwanda? Have your citizens hunker down and hope that Hamas depletes its supply of missiles before it does too much damage?
Please don’t carelessly toss about “war crime” comments unless you can come up with a viable alternative to Israel’s totally justified retaliation.

This toothless farce runs on money. And think- if the UN truly was a force for good, neither the former Soviet Union nor China would have kept it running. Both Russia and China can keep it going if they want.

Israelis should state their MADD doctrine for actions taken by Arabs to destroy Israel. Jews have been killed down through the centuries culminating in the Holocaust. Tell the world, never again, and this time we have the weapons to ensure that it does not. Most people realize that Israel has the bomb. Many people might not realize that they also have tactical nuclear shells. If the unthinkable happened I suspect the Israelis would not surrender. They would use all the weapons at their disposal.
In the last Arab-Israeli war the Syrians broke through Israeli defenses and almost split Israel in two. It was only through the movement of Israeli tanks from the south that saved the country. I very much suspect that action has been reviewed by Israeli military for years now. What conclusions they have made would be very interesting. The Jews are not leaving Israel and Arabs who think they can over run the country no matter the cost are deluding themselves. The Israelis will fight to the death and kill millions of Arabs in the process.

I have watched these conflicts for 40 years…and am continually amazed at the reluctance and self imposed discipline of the Israeli Defence Forces. One day the arabs will go too far and when that happens, all bets are off.
I do believe we need a couple of glass factories in the Middle East…dont you..?
