We’ve also got a moonbat as premier of BC, but she’s way easier to look at, and, in her favor, she does have big tits. Can’t think of any other redeaming feature of BC’s moonbat premier, certainly not in the intellect department.

  5. Ghost town at my voting station. My prediction is that the ndp pull votes from the Lieberals and hudak comes up the middle for a minority. Time to shut down provincial politics, absolutely no interest in it in Toronto.

  6. Just before the election my wifely unit chastised me for barking out “Lesbian” every time her nibs appeared on the tv.
    But the Toronto Star beat her sexual deviancy into our brains all through the leadership campaign as if it was a source of “pride” ( ha, see what I did there?). How cool is it that we’ll have a lesbian as our first female premier, the Star hectored us. Of course now I’m a pathetic, troglodyte homophobe for bringing this same fact up a year or so later.
    Oh, and her wheezing “Jogging” ad and her meandering stroll though a neighborhood ads were an unwelcome intrusion on my Stanley Cup playoff viewing…not that it was much of an intrusion since I try to watch NBC’s coverage over the CBC’s…and the ad cut-off deadline was before last night’s game four. Now, if we could only do something about the constant ads for the feckin’ World Cup promos on the CBC…thank God game five is on the main NBC network. Doc Emerick rules! Go Kings!

  15. The left has fought their battles both directly and indirectly and I think the right has to start to do the same.
    Perhaps we need to work to unwind the reasons government bonds are seen as so safe and make it harder for politicians to sink us in debt. I’m not a finance wiz, but I ask the question, what would change investors minds regarding government bonds???

  19. Sask and Alberta need to start demanding a change to the transfer program, if the East wants to drive off a cliff, they shouldn’t be able to take the rest of us with them.
    Why did they give a guy who was a loser last time another chance?? The PC’s appear to have their selves to blame. Not enough real leaders in politics, especially on the conservative side as it’s better to run a corporation than a government, less headaches and bigger pay checks I guess.

    I’ll be in genuine awe if the RCMP starts making arrests right after this election in regards to the many, many, scandals that have taken place in Ontario.

  28. All I keep thinking about is the budget that will likely be implemented….we are SO SCREWED!
    I work for many small businesses and there is no way they are going to eat the cost of ORPP – be ready to see higher unemployment. If Joe thought he might get that raise, he won’t – not only that, he will have to pay more of his wages to the government.
    Wait until they all finally figure it out.

  29. Most of the time, actually. Dalton McGuinty bombed the first time he ran as leader, tanked completely against Mike Harris. Danielle Smith snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in Alberta, and yet WR has no intention of dumping her. Harper lost out his first go-round against Paul Martin. It’s usual for a first-timer not to win it.
    However, this is Horvath and Hudak’s second time running for the top job. They’re both gone tomorrow.

  30. My riding just lost our conservative MP, Jerry Ouellette, who has been our MP for 3 or 4 parliaments to the NDP. Jennifer French (NDP)is my new MP.
    He was a business man. She is a school teacher and a teachers union social justice activist. This isn’t going to be good.

  34. Too Bad Ontario, another 4 or more years. Knew Hudak didn’t have the balls to go to the wall. Saw it from the get go, focused on all the wrong things. Problem is in Ontario far to many suck at the public teat now, threaten that and it is game over for you. All the other side has to do is demonize you as the Liberals did. 40% of Ontario’s public receives its income from the public teat, they will vote for the party that sustains it. So all the Lib’s had to do successfully was to scare 10% of the swing vote to it. As they did. Hudak lost, the Red Queen won, enjoy your victory because it is one.

  37. Libs don’t need 50% of vote for majority, they need about 36%, now they are looking at about 37% from close to a half of polls reporting. So yeah much less is needed for cancer to reach critical mass.

  46. For the record Danielle Smith was undercut by a few bad apple candidates, many thought the PC’s were still conservative and it’s not the easy to break a dynasty with a party no one heard of 2 years earlier, so she deserved another shot.
    By the sounds of it Hudak shot himself and his party in the foot last time and now he’s done it again. Haven’t seen anyone say he is very motivating or that good of a campaigner.
    The fact that the Federal Conservatives couldn’t or didn’t bother helping the provincial PC’s strategize is a bad sign for things to come federally. Makes you wonder if the CPC and Harper are out of energy and just coasting now and won’t put up much of a fight next time around… (pensions are waiting).

  47. Don’t worry, the “diverse” premier plans on using taxes collected from businesses during TO’s queer pride parade to fund the deficit. With a homosexual as premier, she’s betting that TO will experience a tourism boom with queers from around the world making a pilgrimage to what would now be the holiest site in the world for perverts. By introducing a special vibrator levy that deficit will be a surplus in no time.

  48. These results are why the federal transfer payment program must end immediately. If Ontarians want to wipe themselves out, that’s their democratic right. The rest of the country however, should be under no obligation to bail them out. There is not reason, given todays economic opportunities (esp. including fracking) for any province or territory in Canada not to excel economically.
