Eric K. Shinseki has resigned as secretary of veterans affairs, taking responsibility for imposing Canadian style health care on American veterans.
“I think he’s deeply disappointed in the fact that bad news did not get to him,” Obama said. “His priority now is to make sure that happens, and he felt like the new leadership would serve our veterans better, and I agreed with him.”
Earlier Friday, Shinseki gave no indication that he intended to resign, despite growing calls for him to step down because of the scandal.

“Eric K. Shinseki has resigned as secretary of veterans affairs, taking responsibility for imposing Canadian style health care on American veterans.” May I quote this to all my american friends who love the ACA?
Well… there it is. O appointed him. Think he’ll apologize and resign? Lemming organizer. Forward!
(Cue the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B.”
If Shinseki was a health minister in Canada he’d be in the running for one of those Greatest Canadians Ever Awards.
Obama has accepted his resignation. There now, all done, everything’s better now. The fawning media can now drop the story.
From now on the white house would appreciate any dying vets to keep it to themselves.
Shinseki may be under the ambulance, but he is still alive; which is more than we can say for at least 40 veterans.
So that is how the Administration ‘treats’ it’s veterans who have put their ‘asses on the line’ on behalf of the Administration.
I wonder if the media has the intestinal fortitude to interview some of those 40 families to see how they feel about having their loved ones medical care withheld for nothing but political purposes to make the VA ‘look good’.
I’m sure there would be at least one veteran who would put an army boot on their prosthetic limb to give the Administration a considered boot to the backside.
Christ our physician, by Augustine of Hippo, 430-543 A.D.
“God sent the human race a physician, a savior, One Who healed without charging a fee. Christ also came to reward those who would be healed by Him. Christ heals the sick, and He makes a gift to those whom He heals. And the gift that He makes is Himself!” (excerpt from Sermon 102,2)

Kate. Perfect title, “Under The Ambulance”.
The two other countries that run their health care under the ambulance and thus into the ground are North Korea and Cuba.
We are one of only 3 countries in the world, that do health care this way.
If he was Canadian he would get the Order of Canada to go along with that butcher Morgentaler.
Jay Carney too… I’m surprised he managed to stay as long as he did.

*sigh* there’s still a few more hours in the day, keep your spirits up folks.
So Bagdad Carney is also history.
The Related item was the first thing I thought. If the Republican party doesn’t run on it, then the Tea Party will have to abandon it and become the third party. Our Conservative Party was formed the same way, the rump of the PC’s got blown out, and the “upstarts” staged a take-over after assuming the mantle of the right.
It will probably take a couple of elections though. There’s a lot of jobs involved in keeping the Republicans the party of “no we can’t, because they might call us names”.
It’s a start albeit a slow one. The next thing that should happen is that all those fat cats who cooked the books to get bonuses and look good should be fired(not payed off) and stand trial for fraud at the very least. Time to take back that bulletproof vest those public service hide behind.
I suppose I’m alone in this but I believe this was a setup:

Veteran’s wife wants Julian Fantino to give support to spouses
A little too well organized. Who is supplying the money to cover the little press meeting in Ottawa?
Just suspicious.
I smell the unions & the NDP in this.
Florence Nightingale could come back from the dead to run the VA, and it would still be a huge, incompetent bureaucracy with lousy service.
