Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Yes .. pet peeves. How about those genius bloggers who make a black background with grey or colored text?
I like the purple on black.
I made a rule a long time ago.
If I can’t read it, I don’t sign it.
Car dealers and banks, together being the slime of the earth, are the worst.
If the font is small, you are getting screwed.
That title’s raaaacist.
I’m more black and white, so shades of grey and #666 don’t agree with me either.
Soon, we’ll get back to serifs, too. They’re those little feetsie things at the bottom of the letters. For practical purposes, all newspapers, magazines and books have serif text. I’m typing this in a serif face but Gawd knows what’ll happen when I hit submit. I suspect some imp will turn it into sans serif.
Told ya.
Yeah maybe best to save that for another time when the rant itself isn’t published in the world of difference that an 11 point font makes.
And agreed the 40% gray font is exceedingly stupid. But so is forcing everyone to stare at a white background … effectively a light bulb. The “night mode/dark theme” of user selectable black background and grey text is catching on finally, thank goodness. For chrome users who see things my way, this extension is handy. everyone else…….. GO FCUK YOURSELVES!!!!! VGA CONSOLES FTW!!!

Oh, you mean like the original IBM PC monochrome monitor? Or do you mean more like a DEC VT100, with characters made of little lines? Your choice of green or white on black background. They came with a pointed stick so you could stab your eyeballs out after the first hour or two.
I remember the first CGA color monitors. First thing we did was go to black print on white background.
A Blazing red on a radioactive yellow gets your attention. With a gold border. Perfect.
Amber on black was nice too. I finally chucked my hardware terminals ~5 years ago. There was a nice late model DEC vt510 I really should have kept. It even had a ps2 port.
Obama care is just soviet styled rationing applied to the health industry (please note how fast so-called capitalist insurance companies fell in line with crony-collectivism)As such, when a claimant needs a hip replacement, they get a crutch, eye surgery – they get glasses or a cane, cancer – they get a warm bed to expire in. Never forget that it is curative treatments/procedures that are rationed, not “health care” per se.
So it goes when the kleptocrats pinch a vital commodity by bleeding it for revenues.
I ragged on frequent contributor “Captain Capitalism” because he had annoying white text on a black background at his site.
Fortunately, he’s (you should pardon the expression) seen the light.
As a result, I enjoy his columns much more frequently.
I’m sure the “End-Timers” are going to have a heyday with a font colour called #666.
Looks like occam blew another gasket.
