That’s just one of the numerous examples of the “ecocrats'” financial log-rolling at taxpayers’ expense, as revealed in the Daily Mail’s remarkable exposé.

What’s chilling (no pun intended) about this chart is that at each of the low points lasting the best part of 100,000 years, most of N. America…meaning all of Canada…was lying under about a mile thick sheet of ice.

The hard cold fact of it is, we technically are still in an ice age.
The period we are now in is called an “interstadial”, which essentially is break in the weather, generally about 8,000 to 10,000 years long. This one began slowly about 15,000 BC, and hit critical mass circa 8,000 BC.
Thus, the only reason at all that human civilization got a foot hold is due entirely to global warming, so to speak.
And you’re right. Scientists now know that ice ages begin almost literally at the drop of a hat…as evidenced in that chart. Inevitably, one day Toronto, New York, etc, etc, will be no more than a heap of rubble piled up along the edge of yet another massive polar glacier.
Given how much is already known about all this…

I hope the public, and the justice system, do realize they’ve been conned, not for caring about the environment, but into believing we were heading for a climate calamity, with idiotic talk of tipping points and by how many degrees of warming we can stop, and my favourite – some of the CO2 saved “calculations” (reuse your lunch bag and save 3 tons of carbon, etc).
But, they won’t. These guys will skate – I’ve seen them in action – aw, oops, sorry about that minor error, perhaps I could pay a small fine.
As for battling climate change, I’m with you folks and believe were going back to summers and winters 30 years ago, with the usual solid snow cover on Christmas, with people pond and river skating in Victoria. Maybe it’ll get even colder than that. Hopefully summers will stay nice the way they did before.
Either way, the watermelon gravy train guilt trip is coming to a crashing halt sometime soon. If the media throws them under the bus to save themselves, there will be heck to pay.
We have been saying for years on this site, just follow the money. Every country pushing green energy has their version of Gore/Suzuki riding the gravy train aided by the “useful idiots” and a compliant media. Same thing actually. Great expose but nothing new to most of us. Hopefully the outrage builds in the general public to the point where all scam assets are seized by governments forced to save their own skins and invested in sane energy policies and rebates to furious consumers. I counted the days, anywhere between five and eleven of them, it took virtually all but Fox to get around to even mentioning Climategate. I think it took CBC eleven days, and then done so only in passing, with the distinct inference, “…nothing to see here, folks. Now move along.”
To this very day they maintain the AGW narrative, as though nothing else is going on around them.
