It also helps that the 6000 federal procurement regulations under which the contractor must operate to build the site makes functional accomplishment impossible, even if the contractor were not another example of cronyism and failure. Why do I get the feeling that she was hired just for that personal connection to the Obamas? Whatever CGI is paying her they profited handsomely when she landed a $634M no-bid contract.

I sincerely believe the screw up is deliberate. The whole insurance industry, and its customers, are being crucified by this, and the federal government will “come to the rescue” with single-payer (AKA socialist) medicare for all.
It’s quite difficult for me to decide whether this is deliberate. I can’t think of anything that the Obama administration has done right, except for killing Osama Bin Laden, which I strongly suspect was accomplished independently of any input (“interference” is probably a better word) from the White House. I don’t know that I would trust Obama or any member of his staff, including cabinet members, to put gasoline in my car or change my furnace filter, much less implement a web-based insurance-purchase system.
On the other hand, the Obama administration has demonstrated more malice than any previous administration that I’ve witnessed (and I was born during the Truman administration).
Typical socialism at work. Now you know why the Soviet Union collapsed after they ran out of confiscated financial and real property, and from the proceeds of slave labour.
Or, Robert of Ottawa may well be right, and Iowa Jim certainly is.

There are too many other “screw-ups” within the American government system to be sloughed off as simply stupidity, ignorance, or coincidence.
Far to many to list here.
It’s quite possible these “glitches” are a part of a bigger plan but then again one is not dealing with math or computer science majors here. Also, there’s that pesky, little problem about paying for 314 million people.
The Healthcare system ties into all sorts of other government computer systems. The security on the Healthcare system sucks, by all accounts. Could Hackers use the lax security as a doorway to the other government systems that might otherwise have decent security?
I find this highly amusing every time they screw up. Makes my day in fact. I can’t wait till millions more lose their insurance to be outraged. Particularly those who voted for the lying bum Obama.
Its not that I want people to suffer. Its the idea that every mistake they make , makes one less big government boob. It may if the USA is sane disassemble this whole night mare before Obama can use it against American citizens as he has every government institution to date. A little pain today may save millions of lives.

Since Obozo was elected TOTUS, there has been considerable debate as to what would constitute a Reichstag moment in this movement to turn the USA into the USSA. Someone who is paranoid could muse about the healthcare.gov website being deliberately designed to fail and to deprive tens of millions of Americans of their health insurance. This would lead to massive civil unrest and give the US government the excuse it needed to declare martial law and end democracy “temporarily” (just as “temporarily” as it was ended in Weimar Germany).
This, however, would require considerable expertise in the WH and such expertise has been non-existent. The failure of healthcare.gov means that either Obozo is a narcissist with iron self-control or that he’s just as incompetent as everyone perceives him to be. OTOH, this may be a smokescreen to divert attention from some massive reprogramming of voting machines to ensure that one has a solidly Dumbocrat house and senate in the 2014 elections. Given that we have an affirmative action TOTUS who has far more interest in his golf game than the primary goal of his presidency, the ACA, who is also a narcissist who makes sure that no-one with a higher IQ than his will be in his circle of advisers, one can rather reliably predict that what we’re watching is the slow motion train wreck of the Obozo presidency. Putin has sized up Obozo quite well as have the Chicoms and every potential enemy of the US. That’s what I worry about the most as I suspect that the US people are about to deliver a Nov 2014 stinging surprise to the TOTUS.
Well good to see at least the government got all the personal information before the system craps out. That’ll help prioritize the audits now.
