  3. peterj, the real unemployment rate in the u.s. is 23.7% and that is based on labour participation. the u6 is about 14%. there are so many bogus numbers out there it is difficult to know which one is correct. I go with the labour participation rate. people out of work not looking for work, unable to find work and do not fall under the official government number.

  4. I scrolled further down and learned that as a gun owner I have many common traits with racists. But then again, I suppose a disdain for stupid people that just happen to be coloured is all it takes these days.

  9. The US government is lying. It has changed the method of reporting unemployment figures, inflation and other statistics to make the administration look better. A truer picture can be found at shadowstats, where the data is crunched with the same methods as used in the ’70s. Actual inflation is almost 10% and unemployment is over 23%. It is worse than the great depression but EBT cards are not as visible as line-ups at soup kitchens and Wall Street is being propped up by money-printing.

    Apparently Santa Obama can extend the dole for about 30 billion, chump change in a Nation trillions in debt.
    Come to think of it, seeing as the whole economic issue is now based on fantasy,why doesn’t he just extend the benefits indefinitely, what the hell’s the difference at this point.
