Government has fallen into the hands of a dying generation with old Marxist ideas that are destroying society. They cannot see that raising taxes and shoveling tone of cash out to bankers is screwing the younger generation. They are protesting everywhere. That will eventually turn violent next year. You cannot keep raising taxes and hunting down the rich and expect to create jobs for the youth. The higher their unemployment, the less there is to pay pensions and the whole system is imploding. It will crumble to dust and fall to the floor.

…that seems to be their plan
and it’s worked so far
In my little, soon to be broke, province of NB, we have a activist group called the “Common Front for Social Justice’ (oh my, you can see where this is heading with a name like that) who want to raise taxes to support the hapless, the type I see, the ones around the soup kitchen in my town, pushing baby carriages, smoking. Yup, lets spend more money and more ineffective programs(as described by a newspaper editorial) that are suppose to cure poverty. We already have money gobbling ineffective programs that built large scale low cost housing which have resulted in ghettos, welfare benefit policies that encourage teen pregnancy that fosters intergenerational poverty. The money raised by new taxes will, I guarantee you, will be pissed away into more ineffective programs.
Lordy lordy, spare us from these wingnuts.
“They cannot see that raising taxes and shoveling tone of cash out to bankers is screwing the younger generation.”
Of course they can see it. They’re not idiots, as I seem to have to keep repeating. These are not stupid people.
They are saboteurs. They HATE you, they HATE your children, and they are f-ing up the the banking system deliberately. For money.
IMHO Problem is that most of the money plowed into social programes goes to administration (bureaucrats)….
and both socialist and capitalists are helping on purpose because they will be safe in there guarded gated communities while we dodge bullets and

it wont last long food money will run out massive death the marauder’s will be to stupid to prepare for winter and freeze to death ….then a group of MEN with good ideas will start to form a nucleus and from there we will rise again as a nation
of course I could be completely wrong and we could descend into decades of anarchy ,rape, murder, etc. etc. that would make the dark ages look lovely!
Exactly!
God forbid they should do something to help them out of their poverty or …brace yourself… take responsibility for themselves!
People find a way to bankrupt themselves morally and financially. They must really believe money grows on trees.
It’s deliberate…It has a name….Cloward-Piven Strategy….
The strategy is to overwhelm the system until the economy collapses and then THEY seize power in the resulting chaos…
Google it….
As you and The Phantom have pointed out, sasquatch; ‘the plan’ is unraveling ‘as planned’. Every move made is following an intricate cooked plan developed in the dark sewers of hatred (hell). Satan hates people.
I have my Dad’s old stamp collection, in it is a stamp from Germany dated 1923: 100,000 marks overprinting 50 marks on the original. A template.
This lad is dreaming if he thinks government will collapse.
When their corruption, malfeasance and tyranny tanks the economy and order breaks down, they have FEMA and a dozen other agencies which have as their sole purpose the continuity of government, or at least the continuity of the controlling power structure. FEMA et al will round up people and take their resources (food, firearms, wealth) and fund the stripped down ruling cabal with it. It will be gang warfare with the best supplied gang controlling the largest turf;
It won’t be pretty and they have prepared for this while they have either forbidden you to or have called you a survivalist nut and put you on a list to have your supplies seized.
I am back on my George Gilder kick and began reading ‘Knowledge & Power’.
As most on this site are at least conservative free enterprisers or even libertarians the situation today has to be doubly frustrating. Not only are progressives in control as we spiral down into anarchy the message of capitalism has become so corrupted that people don’t really see an alternative to the BS the progressives belch out.
Does it really matter who is governing at this point? Both progressives and conservatives think they can ‘manage’ the economic system to the advantage of the masses. Neither have an articulate message to judge by anyway. Not only are CPC policy, in most cases, Liebel Lite, but they cannot expose a clear alternative. It appears that PMSH believes slow but sure will win the day. Whether necessary or not I do not like top down government and no matter how ‘good’ Harper might be he will have a successor one day. Should we expect Mulroney II or Kenney I?
Excuse me as I quibble. The US federal government was founded by geniuses; the UK government evolved under a series of parliamentarians of varying capabilities, none of whom I would describe as possessing genius. Similarly for derivative governmental systems such as our own. Nonetheless the US system, at its best, was not the equal of the British system in, say, 1870. Although the US founders were geniuses they missed a few essential points, in particular the important separation of the dignified and the efficient parts of the constitution, as discussed by Bagehot.
The phenomenon is not unlike that seen in engineering, where thousands of engineers working sequentially over many years can develop technology which is superior to that of any single engineer, however brilliant. Computer hard drives are a famous example.
Given the expansion of the franchise, of course, and the ill-education of most voters, no representational democratic system of government could stand; and the fate of direct democracy is too well known to need elaboration.
We are fortunate, in Canada, to enjoy the services of Stephen Harper. However, the Lilliputians are diligently plotting his downfall, and sooner or later they will be successful. Enjoy while you can.

Which is why Conservative Canadians should take western separation seriously now, before the Liberal immigrations and migrations to the west is completed.

With all the new oil finds going on stream over the next 10 years the Alberta advantage will be done. Do you think any of those easterners who have been living off Alberta largesse will be cutting any cheques? I hazard a no!
Western separation died in the late ’80’s. Jeez man we just re-elected Christie here in BC and AB has another hybrid Liebel at their helm. Maybe Wall can raise an army to liberate us. If world finances do go down then all bets will be off and the West might rise again.

That’s sort of what I mean.
We need a world economic collapse, food blight, or even an asteroid to set things back to rights again, before the left kills us all off for good.
“We need a world economic collapse, food blight, or even an asteroid…”
Nope. This is Canada. Just need one winter with no electricity for a while. I figure that would do it. Widespread misery from busted infrastructure will get the cuckoos hoofed from office faster than you can say Jack Robinson.
Because all the social justice/free healthcare BS in the world doesn’t heat the house when its zero Fahrenheit outside.
Phantom & Knight;
As out of whack as Canada is isn’t that a reflection of the wealth that exists? The cuckoos can only exist because reality can be ignored so easily. My parents who grew up in the depression and who fought WW II created the system of social benefits which they saw value and had appreciation. Today those benefits have become a right whether affordable or not.
As an aside: I was always taught that the Dirty ’30’s and the lose of farm land by soil drift was a result of poor farm practices of that era. I am reading a history of Carmangay Alberta where my great Grandfather homesteaded in 1905. Surprise. There was a Dry Land Farming Institute back in 1914. They had conventions that drew farmers from all across western Canada and the USA. My Grandfather’s first experience with drought was in 1920 and ultimately led to abandoning Carmangay for Drumheller.
