Obamanation

Barack Obama had some “interesting” things to say in his weekly address. Here’s Allen West’s response on his Facebook page:

Listening to President Obama’s weekly address, it’s clear his demagoguery has no bounds which makes him a very dangerous threat to the existence of America as a constitutional republic. In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson clearly articulated that our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness do not emanate from man but rather from our Creator, God. That principle is derived from the theory of Natural Law, which our Founders studied and upon which they based this grand experiment in individual freedom called America. In the spirit of Jefferson, “a government big enough to give you everything you want is also big enough to take it away.” The last time a president spoke of government, i.e. man, granting rights was Jimmy Carter and his Community Reinvestment Act giving everyone the right to own a home… and how did that turn out? Demagoguery means we replace God, the big G, with government, the little g — clearly the antithesis of the document which established our Independence. (Remember how the DNC had to add “God” back into their platform and the motion was booed?) I recommend Obama read Montesquieu’s “Spirit of the Laws” in order to understand our fundamental principle of separation of powers and checks and balances. I want to thank my professors at the University of Tennessee, Kansas State University, and the Army Command and General Staff College for giving me a proper education. I have no clue what they taught Obama at Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard –’cause this fella sure ain’t no constitutional scholar. But then again, anyone seen those transcripts?

  1. Faster, please. Might as well drag their health care into the sewer with ours. And Britain’s,Cuba’s,and the Nork’s.

  2. Herein lies the problem of ‘modern’ governance… the enrichment of the middle class. “I’ve been visiting with Americans across the country to talk about what we need to do to secure a better bargain for the middle class.” (cite #1). I have always been raised to envision that governance helps the poor, disadvataged and down-trodden. NOT those that can help themselves. The cost of governance is directly proportional to who that governance helps. I, like a great many people, irrespective of political philosophy, don’t want to see people go needy. We want our excess wealth to be transfered to those, who for no fault of their own, are under the economic gun… those who truely are needy and deservant of help. NO one would object to this. The problem is that, here in N America, ABSOLUTE poverty has been elliminated… where do we go from there???? The answer is the ellimination of RELATIVE poverty… how rich you are compared to your neighbour.
The poorest of our nation lives as the wealthy of other nations… our fabulous wealth means we have lost touch with poverty. Our ‘wealthy’ poor are RICH by international standards and as such we warp our personal world view. In this process we create ficticious reasons for our RELATIVE poverty… racism, sexism, xenophobia… anything but responsibility for our personal choices.
There will always be rich, and poor. Modern governance seeks to reward those that don’t need help. (I include the current Conservative government in this catagory). This ‘helping the middle class’ has done more damage to our economies than any policy governance has ever dreamed up.
How do we get out of this funk? I don’t know… I have asked myself this question innumerable times. How do we stop BRIBING ourselves???? How do we say “no thanks”… we can do it ourselves. How do we disassociate ourselves from becoming a nation of ‘takers’? Clearly Europe never learned. America isn’t learning. How do we teach our young?
    Truely, I don’t know.

  3. PS… “The fact you can stay on your parents’ plan until you turn 26.” (cite #1) Doesn’t cut it.
Joke heard… what’s the difference between Reaganomics and Obamanomics? Reaganomics means kids start a business in their parents garage. Obamanomics means kids move into their parents garage.

  4. Allen West is basically perfect. I like him so much that it is absolutely guaranteed that he will turn out to have a)molested 20+ underlings and/or b)turn out to have the remains of several missing nurses decaying in his crawlspace.
They also discontinue any product I come to care about. I have this power.

  5. Allen West is great! Now watch the MSM attack… again.
Comical…one of the comments on his FB page disses the West fans(anti Obama) by calling them racist…

I get much of my critical thinking lowdown from Family Guy!
Oh yeah! Well it beats CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC ….
Btw, Quagmire = Slick Willie = douche bag!

  8. It’s just as dangerous and foolish to believe that rights come from God as it is to believe they are granted by government.
How do you sort it out when two fanatics with different deities each claim that his God only grants rights to persons of his own particular faith? You can’t.
The reality is that rights arise from the nature of man, and his requirements for survival as an individual. Whether or not God created man is irrelevant to the issue.

  9. No President in US history has appeared before the public so often and said so little that is relevant to the state of the nation – unless you consider lies relevent to “national security”.
    welcome to post constitutional Amerika

  10. nv53; To my knowledge, since His appearance, on Earth, people who live in any nation not rooted in Christianity, do not have individual rights.
