Embattled IRS official Lois Lerner will not testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee unless she’s given immunity from prosecution, her lawyer told POLITICO Tuesday.
“They can obtain her testimony tomorrow by doing it the easy way … immunity,” William W. Taylor III said in a phone interview. “That’s the way to resolve all of this.”

I believe that has been on the table for sometime but I think they will need to have the cole notes of what she’s going to say first before absolving her.
it would be really nice to actually get to the bottom of some of the malfeasance of the Obama cabal sooner rather than later.
Immunity? Probably worth it. It is to be hoped that a few people in that Administration are sweating now. And if Lerner spills the beans she will not be trusted again by the Democrats.
Grant it and take down the works after her.
But I thought she did nothing wrong? If she did nothing wrong, why on earth would she need immunity? Just asking…
Jut give her name to the Taliban, mention Seal team six, and be done with it. Justice delayed is justice denied.
If she wants immunity, this could be quite big. She shouldn’t get it, of course.
I believe this is a legal move by congress. The committee can force immunity on her if she doesn’t accept, thereby forcing her to choose between testifying or being held in contempt and going to jail.
