Watched a doc on Syria last night. The rebels were playing the victim game big time. Extended video of people trapped in bombed out buildings. No mention of gassing which surprised. Pleading with the west for help. Hard to view these people as more than animals. Drinking the blood of their enemies a standard refrain.
To be fair there was balanced interviews with Allawite(?) supporters of Assad. Their claim was that the Sunnis have been stock piling weapons for years. They are convinced that Sunnis will kill them all if Assad is removed. Claimed the Sunnis were religious hardcores. Watching some of this made me agree. During the whole thing I never heard a Sunni talk about discrimination by Assad’s government before the revolt.
I had to conclude that the Syrian revolt was probably instigated from outside. The primary strategic goal is probably stopping Iranian influence from encircling Saudi Arabia. This might benefit the Sauds and indirectly the USA. I hope PMSH keeps Canada well away from this cesspool of humanity.
Not one nickel should go from Canada to support any muslim faction and please PM Harper do not allow any “refugees” to come to Canada. Just let them go on killing each other. We should support and fight with Christian and anti muslim groups in countries that are being overrun , like Kenya and Nigeria and drive the muslims back into their hell holes.
This will have many americans wetting themselves. So many are real cowards about events on the Holy Soil of America. Because of all the “security” provisions which have been made over the past 12 years, and not understanding safety, they thought they were safe. So they elected the extremely dangerous Foulness as president. The Foulness is dangerous not only because of his loathsome personal qualities but because of his ignorance and fecklessness in anything other than certain aspects of Chicago-style politics. But he never learned the lesson of loyalty, which is as important among gangsters as anywhere else.
One of the first things which the Foulness did was to subvert these security arrangements, which under George W Bush had mostly been intended against enemies of the people of the US, and redirected them against the people of the US themselves. The Boston bombings gave it all away – the FBI had no interest in real terrorists; they are acting against anyone who disagrees with the Foulness’s interests narrowly construed.
And so the Foulness betrayed Moammar Ghaddafi. Furthermore he did so in as feckless a manner as was possible, even for this intellectually challenged person, so that, yes, advanced weaponry was likely to end up in the hands of Islamic radicals. The further and greater damage is that the betrayal destroyed what was left of Pax Americana. Now, any country which wishes to remain independent must seek nuclear weapons and delivery systems for them (this includes Canada). Of course it is utterly destructive of any position which the US might have in the world – who wil a country want as an ally – the US, or Russia ro China? To ask the question is to answer it.
