Opposition MPs turned on each other Tuesday after New Democrats upstaged Liberal leader Justin Trudeau by calling for an investigation into taxpayer-funded travel related to paid speaking engagements.
This came after the NDP refused to support Mr. Trudeau’s calls to have MPs disclose all office, travel and dining expenses, prompting allegations of cheap politicking from both sides.

How long ago was it that the Canadian government granted contracts to private companies in exchange for partisan political donations and/or placing partisan political workers on salary while they did their work for their party? Seems like forever and a day.
Seems like the Liberals and NDP have taken over the comments section. It guess it sucks if they have that much time to comment, being either on the dole or a government worker.

Justin is the fruit of Pierre and Maggie. He showed his regard for the taxpayer when he was the figurehead of Kativimak. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth,we paid for it.
Nature or nurture,it really doesn’t matter,Justin would still be the same.

How is it that that would have anything to do with expanses, other than showing the high living of the socialist aristocracy? Where they live or stay is irrelevant for the purpose of accounting, it is the cost that’s relevant. Can it be said that the socialist aristocrat is throwing snow at the low information crowd that no doubt think this is profound?

So while we’re busy auditing their MP expense reports, they;re looting the federal treasury to furnish their tropical beach front getaways and enrich their crony friends. Larceny is a genetic Liberal trait, its why the party can still recruit candidates – its about looting every venue they are in charge of, selling administrative or political access for profit, it’s a brokerage party, always has been.
I still don’t understand why I should care about some organization paying ridiculous amounts of money for Mr. Baby-face to speak to their members.

I have marveled at the comments from Liberal supporters over the last few months regarding the cake-walk to the PMO for Justin Trudeau in the next election; and their expectation that all Dipper support will seamlessly translate into Liberal seats in the HOC.
To no applause on various comment pages I’ve mentioned repeatedly that “the Dippers will not laydown for the Liberals”.
Politically speaking, once the election cycle has begun, PMSH and the CPC will be able to specifically focus on a positive campaign; as the Liberals and the Dippers will savage each other with negative ads in an attempt to steal/protect seats from each other. In other words, they both, at their own expense, will do the negative campaigning for PMSH and the CPC.
My money is on Mulclair.

The other thing I marvel at regarding Liberal commenters online is their inability to calculate the sum of the Liberal and Dipper seats in the HOC; and realize that it is still not enough to win the government for either party. It is as if the aforementioned commenters are unaware that the “Majority” in Majority Government means the CPC currently hold over half the seats in the HOC.
