If Catherine Porter wants to know how to meet men on the street, why not just walk down the hallway at Torstar and speak to some of the “writers” in their Harlequin Division?
Couldn’t they set her up?

Judging by the comments below the story they see it for what it is, pathetic is the right word.

This is what journalism has come to.
On his radio talk show this past weekend, Rob Ford called reporters “a bunch of maggots.” The press has swarmed Mr. Ford since allegations of a video of him smoking crack cocaine arose mid-May. He later apologized to reporters for his comments but no one has yet come to the defence of maggots.

“A social justice columnist…” pretty much sums it up IMHO. A waste of oxygen, you already know the kind of dipwads that would actually stop and speak to her, so why even try to pass her off as a journalist. More like an Urinalist if anyone asks me.

LOL how utterly pathetic the progressive movement has become, begging in the streets for news did it occur to her to um like investigate??? If she put a turkey roaster on her head perhaps she could channel dozens of those Star “Anonymous” sources they’re so fond of.

Why does she need to go out and solicit (wrong choice of words, perhaps)information. The yellow media just make up stories anyway so she could juat invent some sources.

These media creeps are sick in the head, if Rob Ford dropped dead of a heart attack or got run over by a city bus these scum would be the first ones running to their desks to praise the mayor who saved their stinking city of Toronto millions. Is there no business running the city of Toronto? All media creeps can focus on is trumped up scandal they are truly sick people with absolutly no pride. Like I told my children better to be a street hooker than a reporter or urnalist of any sort. The Toronto star is so toxic they can’t even use it in budgie cages, first they test it on canarys, kills them faster than a coal mine.

Let’s start with the driving dogma of the “new media” – “social justice” = statist communism. So right off we know what the Star is all about – it’s there to undermine every other competing ideology and their institutions. The new media is about legitimizing Marxist critical theory as reliable/venerable journalism. It’s essentially several steps below muck-raking.
The recent Star purge against Rob Ford is nothing less than leftist McCarthyism =- any so called “journalist” engaged in this putsch has the ethics of a hydrophobic coyote and the intellect of a hyena.

Porter is a professional ‘envyist’. She stokes the fires of envy in the less-motivated. Inspires hatred for the more motivated who pay for their daily bread through extorted taxation by vote-whoring governments. It is people like her who got Obama elected.
If Justin (the high school drama teacher) Trudeau ever becomes PM of Canada, Porters wildest dreams will come true and she will need to see a sex therapist to stop the spontaneous orgasms.
She represents one of the most destructive forces any society will ever face, rabid envy …. the fuel of the culture wars raging in the USA and Canada. She won in the EU and just look at that success.

The Supreme Court of Canada rules that truth is not a defense if the truth might possibly, now or at some point in the future, hurt a non-Christian’s feelings. Journalists and political pundits let us know that convicted terrorists and other darlings of the left are innocent even if proven guilty and that those on the right are guilty unless proven and re-proven innocent, and even then, guilty or not they should resign. I am not much liking the progress of the progressives.
