  1. Washington has nice, warm rain, not the melted ice cubes of western Canada. Just sayin’.

  2. Speaking of Canada,
seems that Ms. Lerner our fearless leader in charge of the IRS intimidation hit squads is out of the country.
Can she ask for political asylum and live in Montreal?

    I just can’t help myself,
Being a dirty minded old war vet,
I would love to see that fine looking Marine neatly fold his umbrella and ram it through that lying POS ears.

  3. Don’t be silly! Obama does not soil his hands with peon work! Holding umbrellas and governance! Why, that’s what serfs are for! He is there to swing some golf clubs and occasionally duck some questions about X scandal-du-jour.

  4. One comment in the original blog referenced the Carrier landing, so petty and wrong. The banner referred to was put into place as acknowledgement of a successful tour of duty for the returning fleet by the Officer commanding, not the Bush Administration. Cheers;

  5. There is a great article referenced in the comments that anyone who thinks Bush was not very smart should read:
One of my students asked “How involved was President Bush with what was going on?” I smiled and responded, “What you really mean is, ‘Was President Bush smart enough to understand what was going on,’ right?”
The class went dead silent. Everyone knew that this was the true meaning of the question. Kudos to that student for asking the hard question and for framing it so politely. I had stripped away that decorum and exposed the raw nerve.
I looked hard at the 60 MBA students and said “President Bush is smarter than almost every one of you.”
    More silence

  6. He certainly handled the country better than the affirmative action guy in the WH now. Guess how one handles an umbrella IS indicative of leadership.

  7. You may miss “W” (a dubious premise at best)but we all miss Ronnie and Barry and Margret, but what is really needed is someone to lead who’s channeling Locke or Jefferson or Macdonal-Laurier classic Liberal democrat Individualism
All parties in the post war western democracies have morphed into proponents of technocratic social engineering and big government statism. The leaders (with a few notable exceptions) they chose represent these dehumanizing anti liberty, systems which breed mediocrity and nepotistic corruption at best, bureaucratic tyranny at worse. currently we have passed the warnings of De Tocqueville about the decay of the north American experiment in liberty and democracy What we need is a populist leader from outside this established political oligarchy and a grass roots movement to reform government. That will re-establish individual freedom and prosperity over state micro management which has proven disastrous to our freedom and individual prosperity.

  8. That lying Liar in Chief has a different orifice that would be a more appropriate recepticle for the umbrella. imo, only.

  9. That Obama is one ungracious useless tit. W was definitely a most gracious useless tit.

  10. Got your eye on the big issues, huh Kate?
What a marvellously creative way to pend your time.
Guess the Benghazi/IRS/AP thing hasn’t quite worked out, eh?

  11. I always had trust in Bush as far as defending the country. He lost me when he could not or would not reign in government spending.
I not only do not trust Obama but I also do not think he is particularly smart. Whereas Bush seemed to take council from others My gut tells me that Obama takes orders from others.
