10 Replies to “Getting What They Voted For?”

  1. I think the Liberals have been planting all kinds of budget stories in the media.

The budget deficit will be huge, but less than the “forecasts”.

Civil noservice job cuts will be next to non existent.

All designed to have the chattering masses breath a sigh of relief.

This. UCP in Albertistan promised job cuts when they got elected after Red Rachael’s Reign of Terror. When I asked my MLA about this a year later, he noted that they had accomplished this through attrition. I told him that was a false positive.

Carnage will do the exact same thing. Can’t afford to lose any voters through actual job cuts.

  2. Imagine the boost to the economic well being in Canada if 70k civil servants were to return to the private sector and begin putting their obvious home building skills to work…

  3. Well I guess it’s a start…..after all, the economy of Canada will grow as fast as the economy of Ottawa tanks.

  4. Rather than a mass lay-off why don’t we just transfer them all to the Armed Forces and send them to Ukraine. A two birds one stone solution.

    1. I like the transfer them to the Armed Forces idea. They’re mostly DEI so will fill out the positions the General was crying about this week, she can get her special people to dote over. Though most wouldn’t make it past recruiting into basic. Don’t assign them all to Wainwright or Cold Lake, they will tip the scale to keep AB in Canada.
