I had to read that several times as it did not make sense to me.
It is called moving the goal posts. When doomsday fails to happen on schedule, well you just shift your predictions. But there always HAS to be a doomsday looming just over the horizon.
The big Global warming scare of the week, though, was the news that atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have now reached 400 ppm. What, you hadn’t heard? Surely you must feel it? If you didn’t feel it, maybe that is because atmospheric CO2 levels have been three or four times that in earth’s history. Plants love it. And so should creatures who eat plants.
Exactly. The snake oil salesmen do not want to give up their comfortable gig or their new religion.
And it is PROBABLE that Rodger Harbin is a shill.
The scam is dying, their fakery exposed and the moneymen have cashed out and fled, but the useful idiots and zealots are encouraged to march on.

Coming soon – we admit the earth is cooling and we (watermelons) did it!! Yes, our Kyoto policies have staunched warming (CO2 levels are still rising but let’s just leave that part out). So obviously we need more carbon taxes. Notice how activists like NASA’s Hansen go immediately to carbon taxes (right after calling anyone who disagrees with him a neanderthal that is). The problem, to them, is not more warming, but not enough carbon taxes.
Or, as PMSH stated in NY yesterday, yelling from street corners and destroying economic activity is not the answer. I’ll add that taxing productivity and using those funds for whatever statist goal doesn’t take a single CO2 molecule or for that matter CO molecule out of the atmosphere.
Clinging to discredited theories and nonsensical per-capita country emissions while China and India increase pollution will never work. How could they?
I’ve noticed that the global warming alarmists frequently (I’m tempted to say “always”) have explanations for things after the fact. Science, however, is not about explanations after the fact. It is about predictions that are then tested against the results. By that standard, global warming alarmists don’t have a leg to stand on. The predictions that they have made have not been borne out, and what they are doing now is simply not science at all.

The best indicator of this is Christopher Monkton is getting mainstram exposure and the consensus media has stopped calling him a “denier” (which he never was) and listening to his message of reasoned action. Scientific voices silenced by intimidation are coming out from cover and changing the scientific narrative on Climate change to one of more plausible, less catastrophic perspective. Best of all CO2’s roll in climate change has been put in perspective and it is not the boogey man we were led to believe.
Meanwhile governments regulate us and tax us as if they can change the climate – unscientific arrogance at best. We should be tossing these political hucksters to the ash heap.
Years ago the BBC is rumoured to have constructed their very green pension fund

their hip early adopter choices to soar high and fast. You would think this tulip
mania rerun would be an excellent choice for a documentary about ill advised buying
