  1. Well, okay, but you’d better wear trousers during the courtship phase

We can…affirm that clothing increases the scrotal temperature to an abnormal level that may have a negative effect on spermatogenesis. Thus, it seems plausible that men should wear skirts and avoid trousers, at least during the period during which they plan to conceive children.

  2. Fascism by the Numbers: The thuggish majoritarianism of the Obama-era left.”
    Excerpt:

What is unreasonable is the impulse to blame mainstream conservatives, including the Tea Party, a diffuse mass movement that has never been linked to any violence. Never forget that after the Tucson massacre of 2011, the New York Times editorialized that “it is legitimate to hold Republicans and particularly their most virulent supporters in the media responsible”–even though it was already known that the killer had no political motive.
What the hope-they’re-white crowd really wishes for is a reason to treat their domestic political adversaries as enemies of the state.
That’s hard to do in a democratic republic, especially one that is closely divided between right and left, as evidenced by the swings in election results between 2004 and 2006, 2008 and 2010 and 2010 and 2012–not to mention that 2012 re-elected both a Democratic president and a Republican House.
In an effort to overcome this close division, the left has resorted to a kind of thuggish majoritarian rhetoric in which a putative minority is demonized in the hope of uniting the majority against it.

    The whole thing here.

  3. Here is another perspective on what went down in Boston yesterday;
The Constitutional Rights of an entire town, some 30,000 residents, were wantonly and outrageously violated yesterday, yet not one media outlet is focusing there.
Nor are they focusing on the fact that after a full day of undeclared and illegal martial law, complete with “papers please”, unconstitutional searches and seizures and military hardware and weapons all over the streets (heh Barack, what was that crap about “weapons of war”?) the cops FAILED to find the jackass.
Instead, within a half-hour of the “can’t find our ass with both hands” cops giving up on locking down the town an ordinary citizen finds the bad guy in his boat.
In 30 minutes “We the people” do what thousands of cops spending millions of dollars and violating the rights of every citizen in the town could not and the people did it without all that fancy military hardware too.

What we do know is that the FBI knew damn well that the older brother was a problem and had been watching him and worse, they lied about it when asked by the media, denying they had contact with him until the family went public with the facts.
And finally we learned that The Constitution is used toilet paper and a fetid relic of our former (and now-shelved in favor of American Idol) imagination, and that the founders who fought just miles from where this took place are looking down on us in shame from heaven — we no longer merit the nation they left us.
There are more connect the dots in the piece bit I couldn’t condense it effectively.

  5. G, (11:11 pm), presumably if Karl Denninger was a cop, or a head cop with unlimited powers, he would have prevented the bombing by 1) pre-arresting the older brother prior to him committing the foul deed, on the grounds that the FBI had been “watching” him, and 2) found the 2nd perp instantly without for a moment inconveniencing the fine people of Boston or restraining their civil liberties.
On that first note, how many other potentially dangerous/suspicious people are the FBI watching? Thousands? Tens of thousands? Is it practical to arrest them all just so Denninger won’t get mad?
Seriously, I find these post hoc blame-games tiresome. I heard a radio host today (Canadian radio, I think I remember who it was but I won’t say his name because I’m not sure — it wasn’t Charles) talking about the Boston bombings. He was going on about how we’re failing at doing a better job protecting the public, blah blah blah. I was thinking, do you want a police state, or omniscient protectors, or….?
When Deninger writes, regarding finally locating the second perp hiding in the boat (emphasis his) —

“In 30 minutes ‘we the people’ do what THOUSANDS of cops spending millions of dollars and violating the rights of every citizen in the town could not and the people did with without all that fancy military hardware too..”

Ridiculous. If every person in the city of Boston is on high alert, and scared, and have their eyeballs peeled for the second perp, they’re very likely to spot the bastard, but that doesn’t mean the cops weren’t doing their job. Millions of cop-dollars doesn’t mean millions of cop eyeballs
I don’t know; if you read the whole thing, it sounds like Denninger is venting between….sips. If I was having a couple of pints beside him I’d laugh, slap him on the back, and tell him to lower his voice a bit
I’m sure he’ll feel better tomorrow.

  6. I’m really curious about something. The FBI were tipped off about the elder brother by a foreign government that he was radicalized. The FBI supposedly investigated and interviewed him only 2 years ago, determining that he was A-OK. Last year, our subject takes a trip to Russia and spends six months in the Russia/Chechnya area. Completely ignored! And when it comes time to identify one of two suspects they had good pictures of, they ask the public “Does anyone have any idea who these guys are?” When confronted about interviewing our subject, they lied that they hadn’t. Only when the mother called them out did they admit to the prior investigation. What did they do with his file? Why was he not put on a watch list? Why was he (living only a small distance from the scene of the event) not immediately identified as a prime suspect? Could the FBI/Obama administration be under pressure to ignore or discount evidence of Islamic radicalism so that they are not accused of Islamaphobia? What the @&$^@%$!! is going on here? Hear no evil – See no evil?

  7. EBD — Thanks for your 11:08 link. I have always felt that the vilification of the Tea Party movement was unwarranted. Mostly these are ordinary people who care about their country and think Washington has gotten out of touch. They oppose tax hikes primarily because of the rampant waste of dollars by government. In contract, the Occupiers are revered by the left. Both of these groups oppose the status quo. Yet Tea Partiers are regularly sneered at, while Occupiers are supported by many. Makes no sense. I think in essence that Tea Partiers are too “just folks”, while Occupiers are radical youth.

  8. G…Denniger sounds like a raving drunk. Just one drink and sleep? While pointing out some good facts,he missed one really, really, really important one. He states that if two terrorists could shut down the economy of Boston, then a hundred could shut down the USSA. I disagree. There is onle one doing extermely well at that right now, with the help os all LIVs who voted for him. Denniger really ought to try weed for that calming effect. Oh wait.

  9. I found this quote from a comment section of a news article by Jack Jacobs, Bradenton, Florida. The Americans are too afraid of Radical Islam to try this today.
I do find it ironic that the Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is in a Jewish hospital … perhaps that is just as bad, being helped by the very people that he swore to wipe off the face of the earth.
=-=-=-=-= Here is his quote: =-=-=-=-=
Always wondered why the US Military doesn’t use paintball guns filled with pig’s blood. Once in U.S. history an episode of Islamic terrorism was very quickly stopped. It happened in the Philippines about 1911, when Gen. John J. Pershing was in command of the garrison. There had been numerous Islamic terrorist attacks, so “Black Jack” told his boys to catch the perps and teach them a lesson.
Forced to dig their own graves, the terrorists were all tied to posts, execution style. The U.S. soldiers then brought in pigs and slaughtered them, rubbing their bullets in the blood and fat. Thus, the terrorists were terrorized; they saw that they would be contaminated with hogs’ blood. This would mean that they could not enter Heaven, even if they died as terrorist martyrs.
All but one was shot, their bodies dumped into the grave, and the hog guts dumped atop the bodies. The lone survivor was allowed to escape back to the terrorist camp and tell his brethren what happened to the others. This brought a stop to terrorism in the Philippines for the next 50 years.
Pointing a gun into the face of Islamic terrorists won’t make them flinch.
They welcome the chance to die for Allah. Like Gen. Pershing, we must show them that they won’t get to Muslim heaven (which they believe has an endless supply of virgins) but instead will die with the hated pigs of the devil.

  11. Bobzorunkle, exactly again. See my link above.
The radical Muzzies are getting a free ride on this Obamanation administration. Intelligence and law enforcement, it seems, have been asked to look the other way when anyone connected with Islam is found in a compromising position.
    It stinks.
Watching all of the Bostonians on the streets the other night, thanking the police and cheering and partying after the second Tsaraev brother was found was surreal. I thought, “you idiots! ‘You don’t think you’re still under threat from radical Islam — and from the bumbling of your President and intelligence and law enforcement bunglers?” Perhaps the threat wasn’t imminent but who would know, as it’s ongoing. What I saw were duped people, lulled into a sense of gratitude and submissiveness, not alert, not watchful, not attentive.
I can’t believe — oh, wait, I can with Obozo at the helm — that thousands of law enforcement officers were on the case to capture one, lone suspect, shutting down a huge city, suspending citizens’ rights, and still they were unable to find and apprehend the culprit — it was a citizen who found the guy.
There is an air of surrealism to all of this and a whiff of sulfur: The FBI’s lying and impotence, hordes of law enforcement agencies’ frenetic ineffectiveness, an inattentive citizenry who sees their freedoms being suspended as judicious and “kind” … (This list is not exhaustive.)
Obama’s got them where he wants them: defenseless and vulnerable. What’s next?

  12. On top of that what rights were violated here exactly? This was all voluntary. There was no martial law. People made the rational choice to obey the authorities in their request to stay home. Who the hell would ignore their advice to “shelter in place” and go out in the streets with terrorists on the loose? These guys proved to be homicidal maniacs with massive firepower. Everyone was free to go walk around and be a target but not so amazingly most people chose not to.

Why in the world would he make such a brazen promise and then not deliver? Seems rather suicidal in credibility terms,if you ask me. I stopped listening after being told for the third time, how to sign up for a monthly fee.
    Rather sad.
