  1. I’m sure they will find a way to blame the medieval warm period on the election of a new pope.
    The password is ‘Papa-Ratzi”!
Remember the Mann ‘hockey stick’ was a plot to blame Canada.
    Have a nice day…

  2. Never, if they have any choice in the matter. Which really depends on what’s in the archive. No doubt the juicer bits will come dribbling down to the hoi polloi eventually.
Prediction: somebody will release the password. Now that it’s known by some, it must needs soon become known by all.

  3. Anything scandalous/unscientific coming from released e-mails will steal the headlines of course but I found the whistle-blowers personal reasons to be the most interesting. While the majority of Humanists are Toeing the Carbon Line, this person actually “gets” how harmful the political solutions to CO2 will be. A longish passage but an important one.
“Briefly put, when I had to balance the interests of my own safety, privacy\career of a few scientists, and the well-being of billions of people living in the coming several decades, the first two weren’t the decisive concern…
Most would agree that climate science has already directed where humanity puts its capability, innovation, mental and material “might”. The scale will grow ever grander in the coming decades if things go according to script. We’re dealing with $trillions and potentially drastic influence on practically everyone.
Wealth of the surrounding society tends to draw the major brushstrokes of a newborn’s future life. It makes a huge difference whether humanity uses its assets to achieve progress, or whether it strives to stop and reverse it, essentially sacrificing the less fortunate to the climate gods.
We can’t pour trillions in this massive hole-digging-and-filling-up endeavor and pretend it’s not away from something and someone else.
If the economy of a region, a country, a city, etc. deteriorates, what happens among the poorest? Does that usually improve their prospects? No, they will take the hardest hit. No amount of magical climate thinking can turn this one upside-down.
It’s easy for many of us in the western world to accept a tiny green inconvenience and then wallow in that righteous feeling, surrounded by our “clean” technology and energy that is only slightly more expensive if adequately subsidized.
Those millions and billions already struggling with malnutrition, sickness, violence, illiteracy, etc. don’t have that luxury. The price of “climate protection” with its cumulative and collateral effects is bound to destroy and debilitate in great numbers, for decades and generations.
Conversely, a “game-changer” could have a beneficial effect encompassing a similar scope.”
…And that boys and girls is what actual Humanism looks like, IMO.

  4. We knew it would come, can’t wait to dig in to that particular bag of “dirty science tricks”
I hope the sh!t will hit certain faces this time, and the torches and pitch forks will follow.
If any body wonders how much I personally HATE political Science, then you don’t know me.

  5. The preliminary stuff is fascinating. So the skeptics’ criticisms of Mann’s “hockey stick” nonsense were shared by those on the inside! Whoda thunk? And the resolution of the reconstructions is insufficient to determine if the twentieth century was warmer than the Mediaeval Warm Period! Wow, exactly what “deniers” have been saying for a dog’s age. Well, time for the climate alarmists to throw another bunch of heretics onto the fire, (having purchased appropriate carbon offsets of course).

  6. OK, so what is the password? I’ve got the encrypted file and have been waiting for what seems forever to read the remaining emails. While in general I like Anthony Watts, his decision to not make the password public is concerning. Yes, there may be private stuff in the emails, but given that this corrupt group of watermelon “scientists” was ready to lie in order to facilitate the statist destruction of western civilization, none of this gang are entitled to any privacy. They should consider themselves lucky if they just end up with a life sentence in prison as I’m sure those who’s lives have been ruined by watermelon policies have quite different thoughts about what their fates should be.

  7. Agree 100%.
That the whistleblower had to leak this says it all.
They have been offered two opportunities to back away from their deceitful behaviour, none appear to have done so, none have publicly admitted their complicity to date.
Choosing to be lowlifes, the” team” has enabled the biggest fraud in human history.
The cost of their deceit is enormous, how does one “value” extra years of poverty? Numbers starved by food-fuel?Early death by fuel poverty?
Our loss of freedom and public wealth?
    Wasted opportunity?
Why should I be concerned for the feeling of them or their families?
Everything on these emails was done on the taxpayers dime.

  8. Agree, their total lack of scruples, disdain for their opponents, condescending attitudes has earned them an “airing” of ALL their dirty laundry…
