When a person does not answer a clearly posed question with a direct response, they have in fact answered it – their evasion is the answer.
Yet reporters continually fail to see this as a strong indicator a lie. Surely there has to as much punch in a “Accuser exposed as a Liar” headline.

She’s got a number of things going against her:
First, she wanted to highlight International Women [as Victims’] Day, seeing as it’s become the most irrelevant, chauvinistic, and flavour-of-the-month identity event going, figuring that if she could get Rob Ford touching her tush she could make hay out of it.
Second, she’s a Leftard and it appears it was her turn to try and bell the Ford cat to embarrass and humiliate him and get him kicked out of office.
And, third, she appears to be just a lying, scheming femme fatale [a la Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction] — NOT! At least, not a femme fatale; I’ll let the adjectives stand.
If Thomson really believed in equality rather than female supremacy, she’d have handled this situation, whatever happened, much, much differently. If she was sincerely concerned about Mayor Rob Ford’s mental health (give me a break!), she would have behaved like an adult and talked to him in private about what, supposedly, happened instead of posting her accusations all over Facebook in the wee small hours of the morning. If Thomson was a decent human being instead of an opportunistic harpy, none of this would ever have been aired in public.

…And the kicker? The two candidates with the most votes got elected, which places her 1,064 votes away from winning, not 200. She came fourth. Out of four. In a race where two people win…

What a hit job on the Mayor! It is now easy to label much of the persons engaged in media assassination of Rob Ford. They are completely unprofessional, partisan and beyond any redemption.
His fight may well be a fight for all public figures, who are such targets of that kind of yellow dog media.
