  1. Hmmmmm, maybe I am reading too much into it but neither the question nor the answer were sufficiently clear for me. Too much wiggle room exists and you know what a worm does!!

  2. Obama’s agenda depends on doing things under cover of night. Paul just turned the kitchen light on and all the little bugs froze in the middle of the floor where everybody can see them.
““Does the president have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on an American soil?” Holder wrote, per Carney. “The answer is no.””
It isn’t that he wouldn’t -like- to, and it isn’t that his pet agencies aren’t gearing up for it as quick as they can, its just that the enabling legislation hasn’t been slipped through as a rider on the Girl Scout Cookie Appreciation Bill.
Hey the Rat, how do you like me now? ~:D The President does NOT have the power to say “go shoot that guy” without due process of law.

  3. Looks like Paul won this one. Holder finally said that the constitution and the law would rule out drone strikes on US citizens on US soil. Just revealed on FOX news.

  4. Drones are a fools weapon against a techno-savvy citizenry.
These high tech toys are vulnerable.
Frequencies and encryption must be kept secret, or the weapon can be turned.
How soon after a strike against the Republic before that info is released?
Who would want to shoot them down, when one can misdirect and retarget?
The time is fast approaching when politicians are taught to fear the citizen once again.

  5. CNN’s closing pitch last night by one of it’s Democrat fart sniffers was “Obama has nothing to lose on this issue”
    Yeah right.
    Rand wins Oblamo loses.
McCain’s a loser on this too he needs to go away.

  6. The Obama administration finally answered Paul’s simple question today: “Does the president think he has the power to authorize lethal force, such as a drone strike, against an American citizen, in the United States, without trial.”
The answer is yes, but… see it here – http://tinyurl.com/b2jyej5
so essentially they do feel they have this power to usurp due process to arbitrary kill an american but they have no “intention” of doing so – for the time being – of course they have never lied before right?
Meanwhile, a cursory surf on the net will reveal lots of pictures of US police and armed forces drones being stored on domestic bases – and then there are the armored troop carriers the DHS has purchased.
    http://www.examiner.com/article/dhs-orders-nearly-3-000-mine-resistant-armored-vehicles
Perhaps the Whitehouse will give us a straight answer on what a strictly domestic public agency is doing with mine-resistant, armored troop carriers which can easily carry heavy gauge anti personnel weapons? Why have they ordered millions of rounds of hollow point hi-shock ammo? Are they going to war? Against who, does a strictly domestic agency go to war against?

  7. Agree with Frenchie77. Still way to much wiggle room for all the slugs in the current administration. What I found really disturbing was this…”Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., criticized Paul for posing the question. “I find the question offensive,” he said on the Senate floor this morning.” Will the good people of SC realize their Sen. just identified himself as a full fledged Chimp in Chief a**licker, and a RINO?
Occam @ 3:53PM…great questions. Unfortunately they have as much chance of getting answered as I do of getting preggers.(55yr old male).

  8. The words of Ron Paul spoken by his son, Kentucky Senator Rand, on the congress floor – and actually heard by msm! The Repubs are finally hearing the about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and they are liking what they hear. To quote Dr. Paul Sr. “Freedom is popular”.
Rand walks the talk: 13 hours without a teleprompter; compare Statesman Rand Paul to the IWON in office. There are still some good guys worth voting For; IMO Rand Paul would get my vote and I would walk 10 miles in a blizzard to deliver my vote.
God Bless the Pauls, Sr. and Jr., America needs millions more who think like these great statesmen.

  9. And while the filibustering was going the RINO’s were dining with the president who used a 20 car calvacade during the time of cutbacks including tours of the white house.

  10. The Cruz questioning of Holder a few days ago shows how hard it is pegging down these weasels to get a simple yes or no answer. I thinks it’s probably prudent to get that enshrined with further legislation such as that being proposed.

  11. If that’s what it takes to get a simple answer out of Obama, can one imagine what would have to be done in order to get Benghazi resolved?
Obama is as trustworthy as a shark asked to refrain from eating a tuna. We’ve seen what he is capable of. Does anyone want to hand him the power to arbitrarily take someone out?

  12. It was quite interesting listening to the mosque leader from Dearborn (largest population of ‘Arab-Americans) comment on this issue. Don’t doubt they think they would have the biggest target painted on their backs. Of course the socialist leadership of the USA would probably target some militia group just to send out the correct message. Nonetheless, it was fascinating to see a libertarian and a Muslim leader concurring.

  13. Holder only told them what they wanted to hear as all statements by Obama and his surrogates have an expiration date. A Pyrrhic Victory. But then finally someone has forced them to say what we all assumed to be true up till this point. Tomorrow will be a different day and understanding.

  14. They concur because they are on the same side. They both aim to bring down America.
Paul is no patriot. What then is he? Simply a freakshow conspircay pimp who spends more time running interference for the left. Just because he happened to focus on ONE issue that can be made to look like they are holding the Obugabe house to account means nothing. All he did was land on a conspiracy wave that went against the left instead of the right.
Not that McCain and Graham are much different. They only want to surrender to commies in America.

  15. It really is amusing how the left wing loonies and the right wing loonies hate libertarians. Both believe in the State being the supreme authority in all things.
Stalin and Hitler sure had a lot in common.
