  1. Two words came to mind for this POS. f**k you!.
If she were to actually get the bill made into law it wouldn’t be too long before they try to take something else off our plates. Starts with sodium and then they would move on to sugar, then to meat, and then everything else the insane leftist activists are against. Pretty soon we will only be allowed to eat tofu and soylent green.

  2. It wouldn’t matter if she had a smokin’ hot hourglass figure, it’s still none of her business what I eat. My body my choice, right?

  3. I often wonder how politicians who display such open symptoms of advanced mental illness avoid being institutionalized for the better good of the nation.

  4. Great. A beached whale POS commie wants to control me.The irony is,she can’t even see how hypocritical she is.

  5. Once again proving that the most prescient science fiction movie of the last hundred years was not 1984, but Demoliton Man.

  6. That’s not Shanter that is Al Gore in drag. He is hiding out ’cause the lame stream media is being mean to him on his book tour.

  7. The scary thing is this these lefty hefty loons keep getting elected.
When I hear her on the radio then see this picture I wonder if this is her Weight watchers after picture.
(Go Fish Broth yourself you holier than thou socialist food terrorist.)

  8. to paraphrase, your inability to control what you stuff in your face – is not my emergency. It’s yours, no amount of government meddling will change that.

  9. I don’t really give a rat’s @ss what the Finns or anyone else did. I happen to be a person that can decide what I can and should eat or drink my self. I choose to not add salt to anything, and read the nutritional stats on things I buy for salt, saturated fat, sugar, and calories. I do this so I can drink as much beer and wine as I like without feeling overly guilty. When I want to splurge, I splurge. The Finns and every other group that wants to let someone tell them what and how much they can eat can go F themselves.

  10. Get used to the “If government pays for your healthcare it has the right to determine what you eat” argument.
You’re going to hear a lot more of it.
Government health care is not about health or care: it’s about control.

  11. That’s as bad as the 250 lb. dietician telling my sister how to lose 30 lbs. after she had her second baby…
    Libby Davies. Please.

  12. By the way – if you eliminate salt which humans have used as a preservative for thousands of years, alternatives must be used. The alternatives scare me more than the salt. Too much of those chemicals and you might end up looking like Libby, or it may rot your brain and cause liberalism

  13. Peter you’re dead right, except for the one detail, govt has no intention of paying for our healthcare.
Take the money from us for it, check.
Spend money on behaviour modifying society, making us jump through useless hoops, check.
Set up huge healthcare bureaucracy, check.
    Provide health services to tax payer…. wait… see specialist in 18 months….wait…more tests…. wait…family doctor 4 weeks….wait…
What healthcare? A service indefinitely postphoned is indistinguishable from a service denied.
Bureaucracy is the only byproduct of this healthcare thats bankrupting Canada.
And no media or any politician is willing to discuses the mess, we have plenty of administration but few medical staff, the government can not provide the services they promised and hope we die before we clue in.
Has anyone noticed the healthcare workers and politicians all have totally different healthcare plans compared to the service they provide those who are footing the bill?

  14. This is the result of immature people with no self-control being placed in positions of authority. They will inevitably project their dysfunction on others. They really cannot help themselves any more than an animal. They never really did develop a complete personality can only function under some form of authority. Like any child they are insanely jealous of anyone better than themselves and will always strive to make others suffer as much as they perceive themselves to be suffering. They are truly ill.

  15. It never ceases to amaze me how many people who can’t control their own life want to control mine.

  16. can’t control their own life want to control mine.

When she forces all of us to eat more healthy foods,
it will force her to eat more healthy foods.
    you’ll see, YOU’LL SEE..

  17. Let’s show a little respect here. After all , she is the representative for gay pride in Canada.

  18. A little more time in the Parliament gym, and less in the Ottawa eateries…
Yeah, a person with an obvious food control issue is going to tell the rest of Canada how to control their food intake. In a word: NO.
This is why God invented nutritionists and personal coaches.
I mean why would anyone take away the FREEDOM to make healthy choices?
Is there a Charter right to be FAT FREE?

  19. “Is there a Charter right to be FAT FREE?”
Cripes, Hans. We cannot even get a right to private property in there. And fat free. Nope. Won’t go there.

  20. Of course that was a rhetorical question…
If they did have a Charter right to be FAT FREE; Libby would be well on her way to banning french pastry like croissants, eclairs, petit-fours, and horror…St Honore’ cakes!!
Of course that would completely undercut the the NDP Quebec vote, so she would be sawing off the branch she is standing on.
She may go too far anyway should she ban Quebec’s maple syrup…a requirement for any decent crepe Suzette or Dutch pannekoeke!
    Cheers

  21. stradivarious “For what it’s worth, Finland replaced salt with a mixture of sodium, potassium and magnesium and strokes were reduced by 60% for the whole country.”
But the experts always get it wrong.
Scientific American “In May European researchers publishing in the Journal of the American Medical Association reported that the less sodium that study subjects excreted in their urine—an excellent measure of prior consumption—the greater their risk was of dying from heart disease.”
