  1. Not a big surprize. I would imagine that this would be a similar picture with all animal rights groups everywhere.

  2. The Humane Society of the United States gives only 1 percent of the money it raises to pet shelters.
A pox on all their houses. It’s not like there’s a shortage of dogs and cats. They are just a haven for the nanny do-gooders.

  3. Yeah, the nanny do-gooders who, like drug addicts, need a bigger and bigger fix of do-gooderism to feel good about themselves.
‘Oh look at me, how caring I am’

  4. Few farmers or ranchers would put up with having animals around who don’t, at least, pay for their feed. They either go down the road or their useless lives are ended.
Not too many ‘shelters’ for farm animals. Or, so-called, ‘umbrella’ organizations to pimp off them.
Coincidentally, there isn’t a surplus of farm animals…

  5. HSUS should approach President Obama about making a donation mandatory on everyone’s tax account. Just a,for instance ,$10 a year mandatory tax would boost HSUS earnings to where they could really build up their bureaucracy!
And the employees all vote Democrat!
Boy,thinking like a commie can sure be productive! 😉

  6. $133 Million in Revenue. $38 million in salaries. $12 million on advertising, $4.3 million on professional fundraising services, $4.3 million on office expenses, $4.5 million on travel, and $19 million on other fees for services. $24 million on education material. $10 million on “Direct Response Costs”. What a waste of time and money. Considering $120 million was collected from donations, it would have been far more productive if all those donors had given half of what they gave directly to their local shelters instead.

  7. So true,Pete. I volunteer at one of the SPCA’s shelters in Edmonchuk. At least we know where the donations go! For a supposed “non-profit” organization,I would hate to see if they were for profit! (maybe some of our Yank friends here can fill us in on just what is non-profit in the USSA)

  8. Money for the shelters! What are you all inferring? Are you suggesting the 38 million in salaries, 4.3 million in office expenses and 4.5 million in travel expenses for the bureaucracy is
not well spent. Don’t you realize it costs money to raise money and please remember that the HSUS is a national organization so the various state humane society’s should be thankful for the one or two grand thrown their way. Let’s get real people. I mean from various comments I get the impression some gullible souls believe the money should go to the cats and dogs. And let’s keep in mind the executive are probably deserving of a raise so the message
should be the organization needs to increase donations for the common good, not fritter it away on animal shelters. Unbelievable.

  9. I hope nobody takes my remarks as serious commentary. It’s obvious the HSUS is the ultimate make work project and what makes it so despicable is the scumbags raise funds on the backs of helpless animals. Disgusting and fraudulent.

  10. But PETA is the all time champion pet murderers. They kill nearly every animal they get their hands on, sometimes in the van they used to pick the animal up. Founder Ingrid Newkirk is a first class nutter who claims to have put down a thousand dogs and cats by her own hand when she worked in a local shelter.

  11. Most serial killers start off killing animals. What does the say about Husus workers. For that matter Peta serial animal killers. In this World today its the people mass killing animals that say they defend them. Just like scam artists in the human rights racket pretend to be the tolerance people , but are the real bigots. Up is down, bad is good . A stench is perfume.
What a racket by people who are dedicated to eradicate pet ownership. Than kill off most of the human race for ‘Mother Earth”?
Its just another con game by socialists pretending to have any humanity.
