The report must be wrong. I’m sure it was the fault of an anti Mohammed video that had been viewed by about 73 people. And of course, George Bush and Mike Harris.

The report also apparently doesn’t explain the contradictions between the CIA intelligence report which immediately said that there was no ‘video protest’ and the insistence by Rice, Obama and Clinton that the video was a factor if not the major factor.
What is puzzling is why the WH Gang were trying to divert attention? Was it simply the election and Obama’s need to present Himself as having conquered Al Qaeda? What about the State Department and Hillary – couldn’t he have flung it at her? After all, Hillary refused to go on the media and the WH sent Rice instead. And since then, Hillary has dodged all interviews and interrogations.
Remember that Petraeus tried to defend the CIA against the White House when he stated that the requests for assistance during the attack never came to the CIA and were not turned down by his office. That would, unstated, have left the refusal in the hands of the White House. Obama fired him for that.
As for recommending who should resign, etc, I doubt if the Report has such a mandate. It can outline failures but it can’t insist on integrity and principled behaviour.
Accountability is for peasants, not rulers. Now pay your taxes and stop complaining, it’s unpatriotic!
The second American revolution is going to happen in our lifetimes, methinks.

Apparently three State officials have resigned. Eric Boswell and Charlene Lamb are two of them. The third one hasn’t been named.
I doubt if these people will lose a job. Just this particular position.
I presume Hillary is still concussed and unavailable for comment other than ‘we will do better’.

I think you touched on a significant part of the problem in your post,you stated **the rulers**, and that is a fact and a problem, the politicians mand beaurocraps have lost sight of the fact they “serve” and are not rulers!!!!

The White House and the State Department cannot, apparently, protect their people, respond in a timely fashion to legitimate concerns of security, get in live feeds, send in response teams, NOT blame Youtube videos or even assign blame properly.
Obama is hiding a gun-smuggling scheme and we all know it.

How they can present information to the effect that there was nothing that America could have done is sad. One AC-130 responding to the laser designated targets would have eliminated the threat. The fight went on for 7 hrs.

But, as in any corporation, it is the Executive who are responsible for the “system” of the corporation, it’s integrity and performance.
The concentration on Ambassador Rice’s job 5 days later is a distraction from, I am sure, that Obama and co watched it live on TV; and did nothing.

Obama: “I was not informed”.
Hell, man, damnit, it’s your job to ensure you be informed.
I liked the part where the local security the CIA hired were on strike over bad working conditions.

Rumours of heavy weapons to Syrian fighters that were not extremists that pissed off the Ansar Al-Sharia enough that they killed Stevens and three others with calls for help ignored. To watch this happening and have His Hideousness get up in front of the UN and talk about a video, all the while knowing about who did it……I wonder whether this is what it was like when Hitler was on the way up.
The cover up continues. It’s unfortunate, but I’m afraid the gangster and chief, along with Clinton, will get away from ever being held accountable for their cowardice, incompetency and their failed ME policies. The corrupt media down there doesn’t give two shits about Amb. Stevens, nor the two brave Navy Seals that were murdered by the terrorist savages. The truth of the Benghazi massacre, if it ever comes out at all, will be told long after the divider and chief has left the Oval office, and even then, it still won’t matter to those that cannot see anything wrong in Oblahblah, no matter what he does… like going to bed when Americans are fighting for their lives in some ME shithole. I worry for the safety of the people that were there in Benghazi and lived through it, they’ve been disappeared by the Ovomit gang, and I fear they may “disappear” for good without anyone batting an eye, certainly no one in the media would care.
And the dumbing down of the Obama govt continues unabated.
