  1. Can’t imagine how horrible this must be for all involved-that brother too, coming home from work to discover his family dead and to learn of what his brother did.
    Gun control is the topic on both Canadian and American News citing shootings in the last 6 months-black Friday, Sikh temple, movie theatre… Bloomburg tweeted on gun control in reaction to hearing of the shooting.
    The difference between the US and Canada is that the US tends to have historically given legendary status to their criminals; including murderers-Dillinger, Mob figureheads, Bonnie and Clyde, Jesse James etc., whereas Canada does not. Another big difference is that the media is typically barred from our trials with only need to know information being released.
    Gun violence in Canada stems largely from gangs who love their gansta culture-the Eaton Center shooting for instance or copycat shootings like what happened in Taber right after Columbine.

    The loss of life by madmen/women using guns must be balanced with the big bad world.
    The banning of gun rights removes any deterrent to a megalomaniacal leader… of which there is a long list
    in my lifetime alone.
    Stalin enacted gun control In 1929. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents* unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

    That’s why the 2nd amendment can never be allowed to fall. It’s also why we need to be ever vigilant when dealing with the likes of LAS etc.

  9. Mad? No more than was Marc Lépine. Whatever the mother of Adam Lanza did to deserve being shot dead she and her son took to the other world with them, but believe me—Lanza knew exactly what he was about. Boys, even when grown men, do not turn on their own mothers without very good reason.
    At least one possibility comes to mind.
    When out of curiosity I looked for the webpage of the elementary school it had been replaced by a notice that a Catholic memorial mass was to be held at 7pm that night. I wonder if the curate has anything to tell the police about a former altar boy and his devout Catholic mother.
    At least one good thing has come of this—we’ll be spared the sight of Mrs Lanza posturing for gun control the way Mrs Lépine postures for the rights of women to this day, as if her own hands weren’t as red with the blood of the women of the Polytechnique as the monster she sired.

    I don’t know any people who have firearms licenses who believe that. Qualified people who are armed with sidearms thwart more violence than the police do. By the time the cops get there it’s always too late.

    Would those be the same meds as the shooter in Colorado used at the Dark Knight opening?
    When are the drug companies and the Dr.’s handing them out like Halloween candy going to held to account for the death and destruction? (crickets…)

    First and formost i think we really do need to pray not only for all of the victims of this tragety .
    We also need to look in the mirror and ask some basic questions what do we want , do we want 100% ban on guns or do we want even more freedom for gun owners ?
    Why do i say this it is simple if there was even one person in that school with a gun of any kind the playing field would have been level and i cannot guarentee the outcome would be different i can sure as shit say those poor little boys and girls would have someone on thier side to ACTUALLY TRY and protect them and fight for them.
    Myself yes i am in the more freedom for gun owners camp even if it means we go back to the gun right on your hip in the open where everyone can see becasue at that point you along with them have a big decision to make about your life and your civility it forces you to think rationally otherwise the out come may not be in your favor.
    An armed society is a polite society , and liberalism is a mental disorder .

    What would you do in a situation like that ? Would rather have a gun or not? say you turn a corner and he is there with his barrel pointed roughly in your direction what would you do?
    Stand there and let him shoot you? Would you turn back and call 911? Would you hide like a pussy while he shot up a bunch of kidergardeners? And if you had a gun would you use it even if it meant that you would die but knowing he would be stopped?
    Both sides are going nuts over this i am hereing conservatives talk about banning guns and making owning a gun more tougher ? Are you crazy? That will not solve the problem it will exacerbate it even more people will be defencless against these nut bars.
    We are by nature sinful and unclean anytime no matter where on earth humans are involved you can be assured someone will be corrupted some how in some way .
    But owning a gun os one way to make it a fair playing field for those nut jobs who would try to casue harm to those they would percieve as defencless ..do you think that this POS would have walked into that school if he knew there was an armed principle and several armed teachers ?
    I highly friken doubt it and even if he did the chances of him getting this far are slim to none!! and i will use the exact same argument the left does ..if owning by owning several loaded guns the principal and teachers could have even save just one life would it not be worth it for them all to be armed in fact would it not be worth it for the whole country to be armed?
    All of the states that have open carry permits and concealed carry permits are probly shrugiing thier shoulders ….look at the tragedy of kathy gifford if even one person had a gun there they could have stopped them !!!

What we need to be able to as care givers , to our children , fellow citizens,the elderly and basically the defencelss is to be able to protect them at am oments notice why becasue sadly that IS the WORLD we live in this is not limited to the u.s. …in China today 22 kids were STABBED before anything could be done to stop the psycho there. The point i am making in so many cases in the u.s. and around the world ..while a weapeon is a weapon is a weapon people need to be able to protect themselves and i am sorry you cannot put a nut bar on pause while you call 911 and running wont help they can just follow you or hammer some other unsuspectin person …people need to be able to fight for themselves as you can see criminals will always have weapons no matter what ….
    A few years ago here in calgary a kid was stabbed through the head in front of 7 of his freinds while smoking a cigarette in his garage by another boy with a PICK AXE right through his head …no one else had any type of weapon nothing the kid did it becasue he was made fun of by the other kid .
    This is nothing to do with weapons at all it is all about evil it is all about violence , and heres the kicker …MORALITY kids today are brought up with out god in thier lives , with out god in the schools and voi la!!

If the shooting wasn’t horrible enough, the CBC is worshiping flat affect BHO- admiring him for having to stop his speech to collect himself-not what I saw-not even a hint of choking up, and the wiping away of that non existent invisible tear was poor acting at best. He also has a personality disorder which is distinct from a mental health issue. 99% of personality disorders are the result of brain abnormalities/damage and cannot be fixed-a fellow psychopath to the one in the oval office-they get each other-no problem sacrificing the little children for the cause.

  28. Not to give anybody ideas , but it was a bunch of 5 year old kids .Average size a bit over 3 ft tall and maybe 60 pounds . He didn’t need a weapon of any kind . i guess he got the big loud shock factor in though which is probably what he was going for as i don’t imagine he was really angry at a bunch of 5 year olds .

  36. Osumashi Kinyobe, I don’t think that Gamil Gharbi was muslim, he was raised in the majority by his mom, a feminist, and had only minimal contact with his father. Who nevertheless managed to poison the young man’s mind with his ideas (largely taken from the islamic perspective). It seems that even the non believing, non religious type islamics, are poison to people sense.
    Something to keep in mind when the MSM touts how devout some muslims are.

    Lets say this was a god fearing Christian republican there would be nothing but flat out condemnation and apologies from the political right and the church of this mans actions PERIOD.
    It would be loud and open vigils would be held and the church along with republicans would absolutely denounce openly these types of action and encourage those who think to follows in this losers footstep to rethink their positions . As well justice would be called for!!!

Because I love kids and my wife of two year and I are having serious issues having kids and when I see such a waste of life it makes me want to pull someone’s heart out through their stomachs with my bare hand. But I will never resort to cowardly violence like this numpty toss pot did!! HERE ME!
    The fire burning in me is hotter than the core of the sun I love children and life itself and when I see acts like this it makes me well up with tears grit my teeth in rage and anger and frustration …at witch point my blood runs ice cold …..I usually call my wife or talk to her and she grounds me again ….I cannot and will not accept the slaughtering of innocents especially children and the elderly …and or those who cannot fight for themselves …really have to control my self ..and a do I do a pretty damn good job ….but I yes a sinful god fearing human being would have no problem pushing the eyeballs of this scumbag right through his scull with my thumbs for all to see …..but it is my love/fear of the god it is my knowledge of being a grown adult man that it is up to me to decide what the right thing to do is ….and I bite my tounge every FRIKEN time !!!
    I love children and yes they are our future so we need to protect them . I accept all spiritual viewpoints as equally valid providing that they promote a positive humanity, peace, love, and a logical respect for all living and non living matter.

    By several of your threads you seem to have much trouble in your personal life, maybe I’ve misread.
    I’ve always found that 99.99% of trouble derives from the people around me.
    As far as children, you either have them biologically, or you adopt, there is no shortage of souls for a true Christian to befriend, raise, teach and call a friend.
    The world is full of wicked people regardless of your religious viewpoints. Millions are murdered by totalitarians with a vision, or a kindergarten classroom full of children by a sick individual regardless of his medical or spiritual mental state.
    Is this “Evil”? – Of course why not? You may label atrocities against humanity any way you wish, at the end of the day only one word truly fits regardless of trendy diagnosis.
    What we do know for certain is that a piece of machined material (gun) did not consciously or intentionally cause the death of anybody in history. A human person or persons has always caused the death and suffering of others, and this is what rational people with a desire for life guard against with every means at their disposal.
    – Namely a Constitution protecting Life, Liberty, Free Speech, Association, Property and the right to physically defend them all.

  47. This is a terrible tragedy, but the best way to prevent it from happening is to raise kids properly. That gets harder and harder because of the way the “progressives” have interfered with the productive economy, and because of the way they have messed up the schools.
    Gun control is not an answer. Most of the mass killings in history have been done by governments. Gun control only makes it more difficult for the populace to fight back against totalitarian governments.
    In the U. K., after the 1996 Dunblane massacre, more stringent gun control laws were instituted. The amount of gun crime has soared as a result. That’s what clowns like Piers Morgan (who weighed in on Twitter) always forget to mention.

    But I was neverabused , neglected sure, in loved yup. But I was never molested or beat or any of that. Thank The Lord.
    I lived on the streets I stole, I did drugs, I broke into homes ..the difference between me and my buddies was I would take the goods sell them and go eat ….or buy clothes ..my friends would go do drugs ..and yes I did that as well but most of it I survived on.
    I have a respect for you I do not discount or look down on your opinions but I pray someone such s yourself will see it the way I do speaking s a former atheist …..bible is just a moral compass type of guy the deeper you read the more you go to church and have one on ones with a pastor the more you see and begin to understand that all of this see,s like one big coinsedence ..but the further you look the more you see it just cannot be!!! Will his Facebook be changed like Norway’s Breivik was to state he was a Christian in English no less when his real page was in Norwegian. Thankfully in that case someone had the were with all to take screen shots before the page was changed.
    Odd that his age was known, but not his name-at least one other teacher would have known-maybe the brothers name was released on purpose-he sure had the hits instantly on his frameyoubook page in record time.
