After consulting with spin doctors and pollsters, Justin Trudeau now realizes he made a mistake.

Link to Canada.com is broken, and the article it supposedly linked to cannot be reached even using the links on Canada.com’s own site. Co-inky-dink?
As others have mentioned elsewhere, still waiting for prominent libs to suggest JT stand down from the leadership race
Talk about a verbal smokescreen.
I have worked on our farmyard enough years that I can smell BS coming from the back 40.
I think this might be the correct link – same headline, same site.
[Whoops – not the same headline. – EBD]
I admit I haven’t paid careful attention to the right track/wrong track polling as of late but is there really a groundswell of people who are unsatisfied with the direction the country is going? I highly doubt it and it shows just how stupid liberal strategy is. They keep banging that drum but it’s just not credible.
I suspect the “apology” may do more harm in Quebec, than the good they where hoping for in the ROC.
He’s admitted he made a mistake, and he let the truth out.
His father never did either.
And thats why he was popular.
Lets see?
Successes so far?
His name is Trudeau, he won a separatist seat in the HoC, and he beat up an indian.
That’s quite a resume.

PET’s oldest spawn is truly a nincompoop. Is that the right spelling?
So does he now have to go back to Quebec and tell them he lied to them?
Oh the poor lad . . . one direction Liars Rock, the other direction Disingenuous Hard Place.
“I’m sorry I said what I did. I was wrong to relate the area of the country that Mr. (Stephen) Harper is from with the people who live there and with the policies that he has that don’t represent the values of most Canadians,”
Um….ok. Where’s the apology? He just turned his words around and threw another insult out there. And what would he know about the values of most Canadians when he constantly caters to seperatists and terrorists and sympathizes with dictators and tyrants? This is why I believe the best thing for Canada would be Justin Turdeau being strangled with his own intestines.
I’m sorry I said what I did. I was wrong to relate the area of the country that Mr. (Stephen) Harper is from with the people who live there
Okay, so not only does he hate Alberta, he has a hate on for Ontario too.
thanks for clearing that up Justin!

Justin Trudeau now says that he’s only opposed to Alberta Conservatives. Hmm. So, does that mean that those people who elected Harper’s CPC elsewhere in the nation are acceptable to Justin?
It’s just Albertan Conservatives that he rejects? His attempt to redefine what he said makes it worse. And, he still insists that Quebecers should control the nation. Not Liberals in Alberta. Or Ontario. But Quebecers. He hasn’t managed to explain away that assertion.
Justin reminds me of Obama. Yes, I consider Obama far worse, psychologically, than Justin. Obama is pathological and filled with anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-white biases.
But, both are from cossetted, privileged backgrounds. Obama’s via affirmative action; Justin’s via his father. Both are economical and historical illiterates. Both are egotistical, although Obama’s narcissism is far more dangerous that Justin’s egoism. Both have done nothing, absolutely nothing, to merit any high office.
Obama’s career? A lecturer, not a professor, in a law school where his courses were considered menial; a community organizer which is a puffed up socialist boss; a member of senate, getting in only by leaking personal smears against his opponent, and, campaigning only via his Megasmile, his ‘aura of being special’ and empty emotional rhetoric.
Justin is no different. No career, a part-time teacher, which he informed us he was ‘passionate’ about; and a seat in the House where he’s done nothing but empty idle chatter. No experience, no leadership.
Yet, the Liberals, still refusing to develop policies, still defining themselves only by the persona of their leader rather than the ‘meat of their policies’…are going for Justin.
As stupid as those who voted for Obama..
As stupid as Justin is, his spin doctoring is even more stupid, if that’s at all possible.
Hey Justin, stop digging, you might strike oil, you know, that evil, black, gooey stuff that pays Quebec’s bills.
Like I said in the previous thread, this is one of many examples of why he is totally unelectable. The very fact that people are confused about what he wants for the West is exactly the problem. He will get ripped to shreds by Con attack ads. His plan for victory is untenable. He can’t champion Ontario and Quebec at the same time. He can’t champion Quebec and the West at the same time. Win the Left vote by approving the Nexen deal? That is just one of many examples that will surface.
Throw the NDP in Quebec into the equation, and he will be put on the defensive the entire campaign. So don’t worry about the polls.
And I do hope he actually gets elected the leader of the Lieberals. Can you imagine the fun CPC would have in the next election with him? This guy is a total disaster for their party and as s#!tty position they are in right now is, it can only get worse. I look forward to having NDP as an official opposition for much longer – they are ineffective and clueless.
“The people of British Columbia/Calgary Centre are terribly unaware of the rest of the country.”
Shiny Pony – all drama and no cattle.
Perhaps if he wore a clown outfit or
something from the Three Musketeers?
I know better, but sometimes I think “tru deau” is french for “Obama”. And THAT was no appology! Come on CBC, you know it too….
Does anybody know where to buy a computer screen, equipped with a wiper blade, to clear the spit off of mine??…all this talk about Trudeau is getting to me…and it won’t be long before Pierre’s pup flips you folks in the west the bird…just like his Pa did.
The Liberals are going to nominate Justin Trudeau and the Conservatives are going to cut him to pieces in the next campaign. What can’t be escaped is the guy is extremely stupid and extremely arrogant. He’s going to dig one hole after another to step in and he isn’t going to see it coming until the Big Blue locomotive runs him down.
The Conservatives won’t be running attack adds until closer to election time because Rae is a lame duck basking in irrelevance. I suspect we’ll be seeing a lot of Justin quotes in Conservative ads. Mind you with proper cooperation of the media, Trudeau might survive. Obama survived despite the stupid but he was playing hardball and Romney was playing softball. Harper doesn’t play softball.
Trudeau’s spawn is highly electable, which is why the Librano’s will run him and win. The fact he’s thick as thatch, worse than useless and will wreck Canada and its economy is irrelevant.
He’s sorry he said it. Didn’t say he doesn’t believe it.
ET Justin doesn’t strike me as sharing Obama’s pathological narcissism. He aplogized for his Alberta remarks – Obama would never do that – he is above us all and could never humble himself in that way.
What he does share with Obama is inexperience in the business or political world. His world is of the academic, the seminar room where all points of view are possible and need not be justified with hard facts or reality.
He has now entered a somewhat more real place – running for the leadership of a federal political party whose brand, while tarnished and in great danger, is still recognized. Because of this what he says is now scrutinized and he has to justify his arguments on more than a theoretical basis. So far he has failed in this task.
His Northern Gateway pipeline comments are his most egregious so far, where he says he is not in favour of the pipeline and states that while he agrees with sending crude oil to Asia there are “better alternatives” than the pipeline – without mentioning what those alternatives are. Does he wish to truck the bitumen, or send it by rail? Clearly he has not thought this matter through and Harper and the CPC will be all over him on this.
His recent gaffes have cost the Grits dearly in the Alberta federal byelection – he has likely scuttled whatever slim chance his party had of winning that seat. IMHO the MSM has vastly overrated their chances in the first place.
Again like Obama, Justin Trudeau still thinks in academic ivory tower terms and when the inevitable happens and Obama’s second term turns into a disaster, that should finish his and the Grits chances of challenging PMSH.
The MSM will do their best as he is their new shiny pony whom they nostagically see as the second coming of his father and the “just society.” Look what the US MSM did for Obama, they singlehandedly rescued his moribund administration, refusing to call him on his disastrous handling of domestic and international affairs. Surely the Cdn version will try that, except Harper is a far more formidable foe than the Republicans/Romney who allowed themselves to be defined by the US leftist media – something Mr Harper has already overcome.
I agree that as far as being a target rich candidate for the CPC to pillory, Trudeau would make a great leader of the Liberals. But after the US election I worry a lot that there are way too many brain-dead droids out there, willing to vote for the shiny guy with the magic rainbow. I think the best strategy is to pummel Trudeau, hard, right now and with his own words. Don’t give him the slightest chance to define himself. Then let the Liberals go back to running on nothing at all.
Apology not accepted.
Snake Eyes and Shiney Pony will split the ‘gimme’ vote.
By the time the election gets here Canadians will have seen the economic carnage by leftist’s elsewhere.
Harper’s in for as long as he wants.
Smile
Hes sorry all right.Sorry he got caught out.
“He can’t champion Ontario and Quebec at the same time. He can’t champion Quebec and the West at the same time.”
I know it’s not in the DNA of the Libs but wouldn’t it be nice if they could champion Canada and Canadians, not provinces and hyphens?
Doowleb, 2:28p.m. —
🙂
That would be correct.
Dear Justin
Invest in a teleprompter and you won’t make these mistakes.
Does he now? I suppose so did Jacques Parizeau, the next morning. I’ll give M’sieur this, he at least had the excuse of being so drunk he could barely put two words together on referendum night. Justin was stone cold sober.
Do yourself and your country a favour, lad, the same M’sieur did himself. Cut your losses, resign your seat and go figure out something to do with your life that doesn’t involve making a jackass out of yourself on TV every night.
The Grits and French supremacists will miss you—you’re probably their last chance to avoid being flushed down the toilet of Canadian history. Everybody else will be glad to see the back of you. Even your Sophie, now she knows she won’t get to live in your family chateau at 24 Sussex.
Maybe your real father can hook you up with the manager of some bimbo fresh off the bus who needs lyrics for her new single. Goodness knows writing sentimental tripe is one of the few things you do passably well.
Dear Justin
Investing in a teleprompter means never having to say I’m sorry.
The biggest mistake for any national politician is to think that you can say one thing in one part of the country and not have it picked up elsewhere. As others have pointed out, his political opponents in Quebec will be all over this. Now he has to explain whether or not he was lying to Quebecers in his original interview.
Yep, he’s got the tarbaby all right, and it ain’t lettin’ him go.
Just what kind of society are we living in where all that is needed is an apology to make everything right?? I see this scenario all the time. Somebody commits a crime, issues an apology and all is well.
Trudeau said what he said. he owns that now and for evermore. An apology means absolutely nothing to me and should mean nothing to anyone else. He has revealed his true colors and now he must wear them.
EBD, 12:54p.m. —
I would have thought that the boss lady would not have needed B-52/heavy naval artillery support on this one, but it’s still great to see you in on the kill — even with a targeting error. That one will cost you, my friend, I’m sure, once Harry Reid gets in front of the credulous media saying that, “EBD targets innocent civilians”.
Jack and Mulcair say one thing in Quebec and other things elsewhere but the difference is they make promises about their policy. They don’t go to Quebec and talk down the rest of the country and talk up separation like this loon does. People don’t care too much if some smiling carpet bagger like Jack promises Quebec some meaningless garbage but they certainly DO care when some airhead talks down the rest of the country.
I had assumed he was going to Alberta to humble himself just a tiny bit with this “apology”. Not a friggin’ chance.
“I know it’s not in the DNA of the Libs but wouldn’t it be nice if they could champion Canada and Canadians, not provinces and hyphens?”
Yes it would. I would even consider voting for them if they weren’t so obsessed with Quebec supremacy and special interest groups. But then I would sober up…..
I want Justin Trudeau arrested by the AHRC for offending Albertan’s the next time he lands foot in Calgary!
If his murderous paedophilic friends can have the AHRC go after 1 man for offending them with a cartoon, Albertan’s should have the right to have the AHRC go after 1 twerp for offending them as well.
shamrock, I fully agree with you. Justin’s not the psychological sociopath that Obama is; Justin just has, like Obama, a big ego and is economically and politically ignorant.
I think that Justin could learn and grow up, in twenty years, if he worked at it. Obama moved into his pathological narcissism as a young boy and is incurable. Obama, moreover, seems unable to think through a situation; he relies on others, his backroom gang of hardcore socialists, to set it all up for him.
My problem with Justin, and I admit since I don’t watch the CBC or CTV or…I’ve little knowledge of what he says or does…is that the Canadian public, just as they adore Obama, will become enchanted with Justin.
One might be tempted to take out a membership in the party of satan just to help turdo jr. get the leadership. However, I wouldn’t want to willingly provide them with a single dime (God knows how many of our dollars have been given to them unwillingly) and the material that I would probably be flooded with (no doubt on recycled paper)would provide me with a chronic case of upset tum-tum!
CTV just gave Trudeau a buy. They covered the story, but did not mention what the original offensive statement was and never showed the original clip. So it came across and almost nothing. Trudeau’s “appology” was so disingenuous it was stupid. But CTV made sure they ended the narrative on message with a negative piece about how the Conservatives are using the original quote anyway in their first attck ad.
We are not well served by the media.
Rocking a pornstache while screwing the west ……… classy .
this is one of many examples of why he is totally unelectable.
I see a lot of overconfidence that Trudeau can’t win, that he’ll end the Liberal party (as if that would be a good thing).
Tell that to the polls, which show this guy is hugely electable. Hugely.
Gift.
Iggy was very electable too,LAS. Paul Martin was probably THE most electable liberal in a long time and Harper took that carpet bagger out too. If he can somehow engineer a situation where he just has to stand and smile he could win but I don’t see that happening.
Iggy was very electable too,
Says who?
Paul Martin was probably THE most electable liberal in a long time and Harper took that carpet bagger out too.
Chretien took out Martin.
If you want a parallel with the electability Trudeau the young, look south to Obama.
LAS
What policies other than saying he supports the oilfields but not getting their product to market has he stated?
We get warned by lefties and lib punditry, “ooh you better take justin seriously” so we do, and its called vetting.
Sunnews called his bs, and the response is, “that’s not fair, you don’t know what you speak of” followed by more warnings about how he’s going to win.
Right now the most pressing issue is what’s happening abroad, and whats the drama teacher got to say about it? Squat, nada, nothing, except, Harper is doing things he doesn’t like, and that’s what Liberals think……like this isn’t something we didnt already know…..instead of suggesting how this country can avoid or reduce the fallout if or when the US goes over the fiscal cliff……something? Anything?
Anyone who says that the pony is unelectable should look at what happened south of us. Never underestimate the utter stupidity of large portions of the population that will vote based on emotion rather than logic.
Also, son-of-Trudeau’s father had a huge cult following that exists to this day, and they will do what they can to help the pony get elected.
Think of it as Trudeau’s ghost coming back to haunt us yet again.
