    Hans, the 88 was probably the best all purpose anti-aircraft and anti-tank ever developed. However, a high power rifle bullet would be a cheaper fix for this camera drone than a flak shell.

  17. I snickered for hours after I saw this. I like stories where there are “unintended consequences”.
    Kinda like the current story where there is a plan to bypass the Northern Gateway Pipeline with a railroad directly from Ft. McMurray to Valdez. So the blackmailing indians in B.C. will get NOTHING.
    Or,people who voted for ole jug ears are now loosing thier jobs because of obummercare.
    Or, where the blacknmailing union at Hostess will find themselves with 18000 less working members.

  18. I think that a load of the old #2 lead shot would bring the little device down. If you can’t find those, any of the larger steel shot sizes should suffice.
    My question is What are the Rules for these things. You obviously can’t charge trespassing for flying an airliner over my property, but if the neighbors are flying little devices over my backyard BBQ to snoop on me, that’s another story entirely.

  22. I’m calling Pallywood on this one.
    There are two photos on the website, credited to SHARK. The first ‘destroyed camera’ shows a camera that has suffered blunt impact damage. There is no smearing of lead or copper or any discernible bullet track. I have shot lots of innocent inaminate objects in my mis-spent (but highly fun) youth, and this does not look like it was shot. The second shows a battery that has overheated, a common problem with lithium-polymer batteries when too much current is drawn, no gunfire is required for this to happen. In the video you can see the UAV operator disconnecting the smoking battery and throwing it into the grass.
    ‘Green helmet guy’ has an apprentice in Pennsylvania, it seems.

    Civilian aircraft must remain above 2000 ft in Canada UNLESS they have a permit eg crop dusters, pipeline/utility corridor patrol.
    I concur with the #2 shot….a good compromise between density of pattern and pellet mass. Maybe BB depending upon range. Consideration must be made about collateral damage/victims with the larger shot sizes….what goes up….

    The idiots interfered with the safe operation of an aircraft. That’s a federal offence! Don’t even dare go down the liberal/left wing invasion of privacy baloney. It’s a non starter here. As much as I dislike anti-hunting retards, I’m not about to start supporting the idea that only place I can use my camera is inside my own dwelling and nowhere else!

  28. Aerobots don’t come cheap. I’ve been eyeing a CineStar 8 Octocopter for my own personal photography and videography projects. They cost around $11K. The camera/lens combo I want to hang off the bottom is worth $6K. Don’t think I can afford to fly that sucker over a shooting ranges. Morons.

  31. What’s the bag limit on drones and do you need to retain the serial number to prove species to the DNR?
    Also, is it recommended you mount them with with propellers attached or just the central unit?
    With eight propellers does that count as a 16 point buck?
