  1. I would guess that the Obama administration would strongly welcome his death.
They can’t want a trial that would showcase and argue Islamist jihadism as a basic axiom of Islam and the reality of terrorism, both of which Obama denies exists in any measure.

  2. MobyDicksl@pSLater said: “…a big needle full of sodium thiopenthal administered by a patriotic Christian lady…”
Christian? “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”
Besides, I don’t understand why some of you other (non-troll) people are in such a rush, wishing death on this guy. Terrible uncivilized lot you are.
    Let him live.
    And savor the experience.
    To the fullest possible extent.
For example, just think of the frickin’ razor burn he’ll be sporting after they weed-whack that jungle off his chin, and how much fun he’ll have getting “the symbol of his religion” shorn to regulation length. Plus how many bacon sandwiches has the Army fed this guy so far, I wonder? “Oops, so sorry, wrong lunch order.”

  3. Yeah that beard has gotta go.
He has not been discharged and is subject to regulation.
He has grown the beard to make a point…cutting it of is a neccessary counter-point.
Despite the expense…I want that sucker to live.

have you ever seen a more spineless subgroup than a caught Muslim?
for a people with such supposed cut and dried justice , they hide behind our western system like a bunch of crying schoogirls.

  5. The BIG question is; if Obama is defeated in November, will he pardon Hassan before he leaves Office?
Another question; how sociopathic is Colonel Galligan that he would complain about Hassan’s medical treatment?

  6. No! That PoS does not deserve to die in a hospital bed with care giovers at his side. He needs to be brought to justice and trial and then executed – deliberately.

  7. Hasan actually looks better in the beard, but so what? If it’s against military regulations, the guy should be tied down — well, in this case, I guess that would be redundant — and his beard shaved off toute de suite. Why all the sensitivity towards a barbarian who murdered 13 people in cold blood?
I haven’t an ounce of sympathy for this guy. Not one. If he dies in the ICU, it’ll be a definite end to his sorry life — and the taxpayers of the United States of America won’t have to pay for his upkeep.
I’m tired of all the sympathy paid to criminals. What about the families of the murdered people? What kind of sympathy do they get? Who’s paying their medical and dental bills? Or their food, clothing, and housing costs?
Jails should be as basic and uncomfortable as we can make them: no university courses, no fancy meals, no pool tables, computers, video games, cigarettes, or movies: Three basic meals a day and inmates working long hours, with any proceeds going to their victims and/or their families.
A lot of inmates live better lives than law-abiding folks on the outside who have to pay their own way.
    ENOUGH.

  8. I think a lot of people here are missing the point.
The point, in my view, is that the Obama Administration does not want to try this man, because that sets up a scenario of US versus Islam. How’s that for inflaming the MENA?
Hasan will claim, in his defense, that his religion empowers him to defeat those that criticize or harm its ideology. Sure, his lawyer is going to try for an insanity defense but I can’t see Hasan letting that stand on its own. He has nothing to lose by a self-definition as a martyr for Islam.
I doubt if the courts could try him on and only on his violent acts. That’s all that a judge should allow, but I’ll bet that the prosecution might have to, in order to counter the insanity defense, insert intentionality.
This intentionality can only be jihadism, for Hasan can’t claim discrimination, can’t claim being passed over for promotion and blah blah.
I think that the key point here is that the US administration doesn’t want it to go to court. Period.

  9. A case of dead men tell no tales – alive this shooter was an inconvenient truth – proof that it is not rednecked, bible thumping, tea partiers who are causing these mass murders. He stood in the way of the current anti-gun administration’s agenda to “pin the tale on the redneck” to justify civilian gun confiscation.
Their narrative for gun control does not meet the realities of the mass shooter motives and causation – this one did not suicide himself so his story is open to public record, and as much as they have doene to expunge his testimony from the public, he cannot be allowed to enter contradictory evidnce to the current official anti gun narrative – he probably got a “hot shot” in custody so he will never live to be an embarassment to the civilian disarmament agenda.

  10. Hassan hasn’t been tried yet, because Obama doesn’t want to convict him. Expect Obama to try and sentence him before the new admin. is sworn in, in Jan.

  11. small c conservative; are you suggesting that IF Romney wins, Obama will try and convict Hasan, to leave the marytred Islamist legacy of an exploding MENA, to Romney? Heh.
The problem is, I don’t think that there’s time for a trial in the months from November to inauguration. And if Obama wins, he’ll never try him. The fallout from the trial is too great.

  12. If the Obama administration can get away with claiming the Fort Hood shooting was an act of workplace violence, then by Obama logic, the same label applies to the death of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya.
“Manufacturing Descent”, Obama’s financial and foreign policy explained.

  13. Just wheel him out into the brush-country (about 10 miles out of town), gently lay him down on the ground and drive away. Let the JAVELINAS and the buzzards have him. “Peace be upon this POS” (and everybody who wishes him well).

“Here’s hoping the military brass that greased the skids for Hassan suffer a similar fate. Without their help he would have been just another nutjob given a section 8 discharge.”
    Yeah exactely….
Much more important is what does this situation indicate of the level of care that psychologically damaged veterans receive?
Having critters like this providing treatment is like bleeding an IED victim.

  15. They want the beard to go because they are treating this as a work place shooting. He dose not fit the narrative with that forest on his face.
It is pretty bad when the prosecutor will not let you represent yourself the way you want.

  16. I’m certain Hasan would allow, even prefer his personal grooming to be performed by someone of the muslim persuasion.
Mohammad Ali fits the bill- put a straight razor in his hand and you’d have a scene worthy of F*amily Guy……(Parkinson’s and all…)!

  17. Section 8 hasn’t existed since the 1950s. The closest thing now is a Chapter 5 discharge for personality disorder. You wouldn’t be processed out for any administrative separation while undergoing court martial unless you made a plea deal and got a Chapter 10 discharge.
I want to know why Hassan is still breathing my air? How long does it take to try a mass murderer with dozens of witnesses?
If I were Romney, I’d promise to try him promptly and execute him. This guy might outlive bin laden the way things are going.
If he dies, I’d put his corpse on trial and bury him in pit shit and Koran ashes.
