42 Replies to “Shocking News: Iggy Returns to Harvard”

  1. Next time Iggy will do it right.
Form a government- in-exile first and tell any Liberal joiners to hand
over their knives and fall in behind him and do what they’re told.

  2. Iggy is a wanna-be Canadian in exile. It was true what the Conservatives said about him: He really WAS just visiting.
    Ha!

  3. I guess he decided Canada was just too small for him, so he ahas rejoined the tranzis. I don’t expect his next book-signing tour to be well attended.

  4. Saw this earlier.

Ignatieff will rejoin Harvard Kennedy School in January in what the school describes as a “half-time faculty appointment” as professor of practice.

So, What does a “professor of practice” actually practice?

  5. Hiding? U of Toronto – they collect Liberal losers. I wonder if he hits Harvard in time to vote for Obama.

  6. I can just imagine Iggy, having tea with some colleagues at Hahvahhd in about five years,” wot WAS the name of that quaint little Country where you ran for Prime Minister,Michael?”
    “Oh, it’s not important,more tea?”

  7. “Professor of practice”, eh? Well, at least it’s putting his experience to good use, since he, y’know, was only a practicing Canadian and a practicing politician.

  8. There is an interesting depiction of Count Michael’s great-grandfather, Count Nicolai P. Ignatieff, in Flashman at the Charge.
As the article on Count Nicolai in Wikipedia says,
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolay_Pavlovich_Ignatyev
he is depicted Flashman as singularly cruel and brutal.
As for Count Michael’s return to Harvard goes, Harvard professorial salaries are worth having.

  9. I’m getting dizzy, watching this rat Izzy jump from sinking ship to ship to ship.
I always remember the late conservative William F. Buckley’s statement that America would be far better governed by 1,000 people chosen at random from the Boston Telephone Directory that by the 1,000 member Harvard Faculty.

  10. bluetech: … where was he hiding?
He was hiding at Massey College in Toronto, a very cosy place, indeed.
Said David Cameron, chair of the political science department, “Certainly I’m personally delighted to have him here. He’s chosen to stay in Canada and come to the U of T. So it seems to me it does kind of act as a response to that kind of criticism [that Ignatieff was just visiting].”

I guess Dr. Cameron will have to rearrange his comment, just as our lamestream media will have to adjust its high regard for Mr. Ignatieff’s staying power in Canada.
Pardon me? That’s not going to happen …?

  11. As you can see, Massey College, designed by renowned Canadian architect Ron Thom, is a delightful place.

I gather that Michael Ignatieff had a lovely suite there, complete with fireplace, and perhaps he still does. Apparently, he’ll be teaching half-time at Harvard and half-time at the U. of T.

  12. Ahhh mikey
    As the saying goes:
You can fool all of the people some of the time
Some of the people all of the time
But not all of them all of the time.
You are of course the supreme fool mikey for
selling out your morals for the big lie.
…and now you’re trying to slither out of the
country on another half time lie….just so’s
you can fool yourself into believing the lie
is only ‘circumstances’ and not really a lie
    at all.
    Micheal…your very existence is a fabrication…
And that is just another way of saying
    A Lie.

  13. Good riddance.
Now, as some have suggested, if only Justin would go back to his make believe world and take Mulcair with him.

  14. Bye Mikey. Looks like Steve was right- you were only visiting.
As for Justin, go for it young man. The Tories have a deep bench. You may be able to be able to beat a relatively unknown senator in a boxing match, but I would live to see you go toe to toe against Baird.

  15. So … basically EVERYTHING the lieberals and their friends in the media were saying to tout count igula was BS!
And in fact everything that was said about him in this blog (and others) was 100% correct.
    Imagine that!

  16. And how many people who voted liberal would have done so had they known that he planned to leave the country if he lost.
I seem to recall that Dion now spends a lot of time in his other nation , France.
    Will mulcair do the same?

  17. Count Iggula is gone? Awesome.
Hahvahd is much nicer looking than U of T I’ll tell you. Probably nicer parties and more opportunities for graft too.

  18. Golly! did Iggy not brag that he illegally Voted when he was in the US… Seems that alone would get him rejected for Citizenship or Permanent Res..
He better not unpack because Harvard is going to be swept clean of people like him & Obama, or flushed into the cesspool of past Stupidity…

  19. And how many people who voted liberal would have done so had they known that he planned to leave the country if he lost.

Every damn one of them. They would have thought or said it was just a rightie ploy to make him look bad.
Remember, ignorance can be fixed, but stupid and leftardism are terminal mental diseases.

  20. I’ll bet Oh Zsuzsanna’s happy that Iggy’s going back to Hah-vahd. Better shopping and better parties.
    OTOH, Obama’s no Stephen Harper.

  21. Of Count Nicolai P. Ignatieff.
Once more for Count Mikhail Ignatieff’s Return to Harvard.
Then Came the Pogroms As Performed by Cossack Horsemen with Bloody Sabres Beheading Jews.
    http://www.archive.org/stream/russianadvanceto00marv/russianadvanceto00marv_djvu.txt
“Full text of “The Russian advance towards India. Conversations with Skobeleff, Ignatieff, and other distinguished Russian generals and statesmen, on the Central Asian question”
” If you have lived in South Russia, you know
what the Jew is,” replied Ignatieff. *’ He is dirty,
he dresses differently from anybody else, he forms
a society of his own, and he oppresses the people.
As I pointed out to a deputation that waited on
me some time ago, respecting the expulsion of
Jews from certain towns and territories — How
can I make the people accept you, if you do your
best to make them hate you and cast you out ?
The rural communes and town assemblies say you
shall not live with them — shall I send an army
and compel them to let you reside in their midst?
To do that, I should have to send a battalion of
soldiers at the back of every Jew.”

  22. @ maz2
Interesting, considering he always struck me as a bit of a pompous ass. Guess the nuts don’t fall far from the tree. If only he had learned to swig a few beers and said “eh” once in a while, people might have warmed up to him. Eh?
