What would happen if Canada withdrew from the United Nations? Well the left would go into apoplectic shock of course. Someone making a courageous move based on principles is likely beyond their comprehension. They would natter on about Canada’s reputation in the world, as if any mature person gives a rat’s ass about that.
And many nations would also be shocked, particularly those who look upon the UN as some giant teat to be sucked on. Canada is but one nation out of 190, but it could be the hole that brings down the entire dike.
It would certainly be fun. That alone is a good reason to go for it.
