Say It Isn’t So, Joe!

Ouch.

Artur Davis, the former four-term Democratic congressman from Alabama who co-chaired President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign, introduced the running mate of Obama’s Republican challenger in Virginia Friday.
“Are you ready to meet the next vice president of the United States?” Davis asked at a rally in Springfield, Virginia.

  1. Told you you’d be hearing about this guy. He will be involved in the campaign afflicting the Obama effort like a case of the mange. Davis represents a growing contingent of blacks who see the dem party taking the black voter for granted – more interested in cronyism with business and unions than in actually dealing with ‘black’ issues such as education reform.
This is the same mistake the dems have made with the Dixiecrats – practically delivering the south to Nixon.
Could the same be happening with the Jewish lobby? Let’s hope so.

  2. gord,
well that still leaves soledad o’brien 2 more ethnic reasons to be a democratic shill (hispanic, and irish)
For those of you who dont know soledad has accepted awards as an “outstanding” african american, as an “outstanding” irish american and as an “outstanding” hispanic american. No word yet on whether she has got any awards for just being an “outstanding” american.
But to the main point, yes I think this is a trend that may well accelerate post Obama. The “leadership” and the concerns of those they purport to represent are rapidly diverging. This is why they are reduced to simplistic race charges of racism and prejudice.

  3. When you see cross partisan pimping like this you know the fix is in. The US bi-partisan political system is a single party with 2 faces which represents putocratic interests.
Election time is when we get a front row seat at this freak show.

  4. I’m more interested in why he has switched sides. What exactly did he hope to achieve in 08 by backing Obama and why has he changed his mind? The CNN article explains nothing.
He wasn’t some naive Obama groupie, he was active in the highest levels of Obama’s campaign staff. Was he lied to? Who lied? What lies did he participate in?
Davis needs to clearly explain why *he* was wrong. Or is he just convinced of Dem/Obama defeat and is now jumping on the bandwagon?

  5. JDN, maybe he saw something scary on the horizon that did not bode well for America.

Maybe, Ken. But I’m such a sceptic when it comes to the morals and motivations of politicians and their fart-cathchers. More likely he saw something scary on the horizon that did not bode well for his political career.

  7. Could it be this guy woke up one day to find his party is no different from ranting Marxists or radical anarchists?

  8. Something fishy about this story. Black people do not listen to Genesis.
