Prime Minister Harper, of course! “Extremely hot weather has been allowed to escalate, because Mr. Harper pretends there is no such thing as climate change.” Ms. Falby gives Harper way too much credit here. If Canada were to disappear off the map completely the annual impact on global climate would be an imperceptible 0.001 degrees C.
Combined with the lack of air conditioning this heat causes mass shootings such as recently seen in Colorado and Toronto. “I know that living in a small, hot, airless room would motivate me to strike out at people.” By that line of reasoning poor people in warmer parts of Canada must be in a constant state of violent unrest. And by all means, let’s make sure that Ms. Falby stays cool!
