That apology addresses the “Today” show’s failure to abridge accurately the conversation between Zimmerman and the dispatcher in this high-profile case. This is how the program portrayed a segment of that conversation:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.
And here is how it actually went down:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.
Stunned I say… I’m stunned (as Black Mamba would point out, there should be no need add the sarc marker)
Really, Kate, you must remember the principles of Ingsoc before trying to apply Western (ick!) linear logic (ick! ick!) to politically correct news “narratives.” Doublethink is called for in this case. What matters is that the party line–ably communicated by its NBC Ministry of Truth organ–be diffused to the masses, not what some abstract “objective observer” might conclude. Everything is political! I fear that the Ministry of Love might have to hie itself to Saskatchewan and set up Room 101 on the Prairie somewhere near your house, unless you recant convincingly.

If Zimmerman is charged, I suspect that part of the defence will be what is essentially double jeopardy. Police and prosecutors determined that the claim of self defense was consistent with the evidence. Any charges would have come about from political outrage created from false evidence from ABC, NBC, and others. I suspect Zimmerman is destined to be very wealthy thanks to the networks falsifying evidence.
I hope that this Zimmerman guy gets himself a really really good lawyer.

Sure there are individual racists in the US, but that country has devoted huge amounts of time and resources to leveling the playing field. Race is not an issue so much as the failure of the underclass of all races to bear down and pursue the opportunities that exist in that country.
They have committed a wrong against an individual to advance their wicked narrative. Zimmerman should sue their pants off.

Every individual person, city, county, fire department, police service and so on who suffers damage due to the violence created in the name of Trayvon needs to sue NBC, the Democratic Party, Obamba, Al Sharpton et al.
The excision of the 911 operator’s question changes the meaning of the exchange in two ways. First, and obviously, “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black” presents the reference to the guy’s race as an issue that Zimmerman introduced into the conversation.
Second, because the omitted question introduces the guy’s race as a topic, it changes the character of the information that Zimmerman provides: Zimmerman isn’t sharing his conclusion that the guy is black, he’s indicating that he isn’t completely confident that the guy is in fact black.
Not the kind of thing you’d do to a quotation in the absence of malice.
